    What Separates the Good Players From the Newbs?

    What are your thoughts?

    Mine are:

    • Knowledge of the Game
    • Doing all that crap you do before 2 minutes into the game
    • Ability to make good decisions
    • Knowing when to do what

    Well, forge players useually build tanks seeing that that it is the most powerful unit in the game, let alone superfyed, but it wont win you a game.

    ODST/Hawks are quite a joke nowdays..

    But what keeps the "bootleg general" of out the good people section is

    -Skill

    -Termination

    -Teamwork

    -Off the wall ideas

    -Playing games to the end, Resigning isnt the only way to play a game.

    -Ability to be under a large amount of pressure and pull though into mid game with a decent amount of tech, econ, and units.

    I played some really good guy online, and he scouts my Summit. He got his defenses up right when I got there. Could timing possibly have anything to do with this?

    Things that separate good players from bad players are.

     

    Good Players think of variables

    Bad players think of 1 thing, and if it fails gameplan over.

     

    Good Players protect weaker units with stronger units while conserving resources to tech up

    Bad players just keep spamming and dig themselves into a ditch

     

    Good players realize when its a good idea to stop production to go into a further tech level

    Bad players, as before, just keep building. 

     

    Good players know when a rush has failed, before losing a lot of units

    Bad players lose full pop of X to take out 1 Y...

     

    Good players understand turret placement

    Bad players don't

     

    Good Players know how to micro efficiently

    Bad players don't

     

    Good Players can expand faster and with minimal losses to army

    Bad players spend 2m uch to expand, and lose an army, or they wait for power units to come out to expand

     

    Bad players attack too early, or don't harass

     Good players time attacks, time buildings/builds then attack 

     

    Good players scout

    Bad players dont

     

    Good players always have enough money to use leader powers

    badd players have 4 buildings and 7 wraiths in queue at their base....

     

    much much more.

    Newbs complain about Rushing rather than adapting and defending against it.

    I received abuse last night because I'm "a random scrub who can't win without attacking people when they are defenseless."

    I guess I upset him.

    very nice so far. guess ill try to add some more.

     

    good players know what to expect from certain leaders, but still scout and expect to fight different units than expected.

    bad players see forge and only build anti tank units, or cutter and only anti infantry

     

    good players can still win even if they lost half of their base

    bad players just quit

     

    good players can take on 2 bad players

    bad players cant take out 1 bad player     lol

    Good players have a good TS.

    Good players wins off you'd never believe.

    Good players only resign when ALL hope is lost.(I have been so extrememly close to resigning in some of my best wins)=)

    Good players understand the game, and know other players of their merit.

    etc.

    This topic is almost self-explanatory.

    2.Booming.

    3.Super Units(like Microing but use them at the right time aswell).

    4.TS(unless they DC or boost).

    5.Offence/Defence.

    Well, a good player is good, and a noobish player is bad. Doesn't that explain everything?

    Oh yeah, good players mostly win, and noobs mostly lose.
