What are your opinions on Brute rushing?

It won't beat a skilled player. It's ok to put pressure on a low skilled enemy with, maybe take a supply pad, but Brutes<Hogs. Also, Hogs>Brutes..... Hogs will stop it. Flamers cut Brutes down in a heartbeat for less resources. Especially Flashbang Flamers.

Might work against a Prophet that is EHG-rushing because Brutes do more building damage. UNSC can defend with FB flamers, and Hogs if they want to. Arby can just rage the Brutes.

It only works if you pull it while I'm in the bathroom, because MM took 15 minutes and I really couldn't wait to go.

As long as you have a barracks, or know that it's coming (and it is coming, because every brute chief player thinks it's the bee's knees) you will stop it with flamers or hogs (probably both). When he attempts to vortex your hogs, then your flamers rape him, and vise versa.

How do Hogs beat Brutes at equal tech again?  With micro, especially Vortex micro, Brutes will kill Hogs.

combine it with a banshee rush in 2v2 and it will pwn most players

I'm agreeing with Korther. 

Hogs don't directly beat a brute rush. Attacking the brute rush with your hogs will result in a fail. You need to go to his base and prevent him from beaming in more brutes and take down his supply pads, otherwise they aren't that great for a brute rush. It's all about the flamers.

Micro hogs, put some (or all) at enemy base to try to get Chief to teleport back, let flamers do the mass murder. I've killed a Chief with just a handful of gunner hogs before. Idk if it was simply because my opponent was a retard at micro or not, but microing around a vortex isn't terribly difficult. The only Covie leader that beats Hogs early on is Arby. Maybe I'm wrong, maybe I've never played against a good BC, but thats my experience against him.

As soon as your hogs start getting touched by the vortex, they slow down like little *** trying to slide through molasses and get raped as soon as he explodes it.

You can take him down with hogs, but if he has Brutes with him, then you've got no chance...unless you have a mass of hogs, but then he probably didn't Brute rush you properly.

Yeah, guys brutes are a soft counter for warthogs unless you work as a professional rammer and vortex-dodger, which I doubt. You'd be better off just making flamers.

Brute Rushes are impossible to stop with Hogs.  I get like, three or four brutes at your base and if you block my porter I just send my BC back, and vortex them.  My brutes can hold their own against any hogs you send back to them until my BC gets back.  You need mass flamers for them really =/
