Jesus Christ. It's not that I didn't have this game in the bag from the start, or that I couldnt win it. I was on the winning end of the stick the entire game--it's just that he WOULD NOT DIE. It's hard to explain the frustration that went into this match. His Shield got up right as I started to strike on his base. I finally got his shield down with a bunch of Jackals (olol shouldve built Hunters too..) and some SG's. I take out his temple and then he destructs all hsi buildings but his base. I wait another 2 minutes to destroy his base and I go find his new base. Olol 2 shield generators are FTW amirite? *sigh* He has four Turrets this time, and that was fun with only Jackals and SG's. I got Banshees in this time as I recycled my Hall.
I destroy THIS base (same process as before...) before I go grab the base slot by his base and I start to build from it. Oh, and all the while, I should have paid attention to the flood gates because I blew them off and alas and behold--almost 50 flood are swarmed over my base (including the air guys) so I need to struggle with turrets as I go for his main base. He has max like 20 jackals--I dispose of them. Now the next part freaks me out, and what flipped me onto my ***.
His prophet teleports SOMEWHERE. It wasnt to the base I was just at--I was there and he was nowhere to be found. I thought he had the base by mine (I took the middle base by this point) so I boosted over a banshee--no base at all and no Prophet. I don't know how that one worked out exactly. Nevertheless, I later kill his prophet a few minutes later. Seriously, this bugger was almost impossible to find as i was trying to destroy his base.
I finally got past all the annoyance and I brained up, putting a banshee at every corner of his base so they can destroy any building turrets. Should have done that a LOONNG time ago. (His turrets did a number on me). Well, nevertheless, I make the mistake of sending all my Banshees over to main to scrape up the masses of flood at my base currently. His PoR finishes, I'm not paying attention to my 20% Arby and 3 Jackals remaining and he kills them both with lolbeam. I beam back over, PoR is gone, and shield back up.
I rebuild Arby, keep attacking base and now that I got all the bases on the map, his PoR attacks my latest expansion with no shield and I send my banshees over there to dispose of him. They kill him (he forgot to teleport olol) and I boost back to his base...full shield agian. *Headdesk* but he resigns.
My lord, it seemed much longer than 23 minutes that game.
