okay, so im not an amazing anders player, but im alright = ts 35.

i just played 2 prophets and lost somehow..... heres why....... fuelrod turrerts  + flying prophet is so *** ridiculous.

im so angry i just totally outplayed 2 pors and lost both games somehow??????????????????

on chasmns, i have expansion, both hooks and have teched to gauss and oxide flamers, and hornets. i go to his base and his 4 fuelrod turrets destroy most my hogs while the prophet beams his way through my hornets, even with me trying to micro them., then he wips out a scarab out of his base. i try to get cobras out but his por just beams then so i resign.

next game on release, i have expansion he has an expansion also, i have flamers, guass and scorpians, he has hunters and flying por and jackals.... i loose somehow??? wtf?????? Flying por is too freakin OP with fuel rod turrets i cant stop him teching up because he has turrets and por to destroy anything i can send....... :( major sad face for me.... i am so angry i thought about coming on here and just shouting and swearing.... then i decided against it and decided to ask what i could of done.

so .,... what could i have done?

edit: i posted this later on when i have calmed down, thanks for all the abuse, and really im not that bad i know i shouldnt of let him tech up and i know i made myself sound like a fine gentlemen but i was just really annoyed with myself that i lost them games so i came on to rant. sorry for wasting all urs time. :P and ronin i am good, honest ur first impression was correct :). im just making another post now about someone who i just kicked their ass and they started sending complaints to me and getting his friends too because i beat him fair and sqaure.....

36 ts for 1v1, me n my mates will pwn u at 3v3 also ;) lookin for a decent clan.

Substitute flamers for Scorpions unless he starts making Hunters.  There's also no excuse for your hornets getting beamed down by the Prophet, you didn't keep them moving.  If he had 4 fuel rod turrets up, you obviously didn't send your hogs to his base early game to wreck them before he got them up and upgraded.  Also, don't just march onto his base if there are 4 turrets.  If anything, try to have the fight away from the base.  Only take on those turrets when you've wiped out his army, or if you have enough units to quickly take out the turrets with little losses.

I typically find that it's almost retardedly easy to kill a PoR with around 6 Gunner/Grenadier hogs.  The fact that you had both Gauss and Oxide Flamers tells me that you wasted an opportunity.

you should never let a covi player get tech 3, especially on a non-reactor hook map. i dont even know how it's possible to get 4 fuel rod turrets and tech 3 in a 1v1, much less a scarab. basically, you are getting completely outplayed and i dont know if there is any hope for you. mono-prophet + heavy turtle + scarab boom is just about the worst 1v1 strategy i could think of yet you lost to it.

my advice to you: try a new leader. play some 1v1's as PoR. you will no doubt come up against some anders players, and when they beat you, try to learn from their playstyle and attribute it to your own anders v. PoR game. if you win all your games, keep playing PoR.

In my opinion the PoR is the easiest of all to beat in 1v1 as anders(next to Brute chieftain). Just get 3 warthogs out upgrade to gunner and go to his base and just do circles around the prophet if he doesnt have blessed immolation.

I know why, what the hell were you thinking, no offense but playing anders is not as simple as getting guass and oxide agaisnt covie and gremlins against UNSC, you let him sit there two long, do you even know why you make flamers, to counter hunters, if he dosnt have hunters dont make flamers make somthing else like hogs and hornets. it's not as simple as getting maxed out tecgh of certain units. also did you harrass them atleast if not then that's another reason. most my games against POr I dont even need oxide or guass unless there good even then I dont even always mak flamers because sometimes they take the risk of amknig wraiths.

-didnt harrass well enough

-bad micro (everything on POR then let turrets focus on somthing else, trust me turret do alot to hogs so just let the turret shoot somthing else then come back)

-if you face an overwhelming force (scarab) cryo it then take it out and it should be weak enough to take out, though I dont think this applies to the scarb but it's jsut advice.

-if the turtle with turrets THEN you can gain map control until then harrass like crazy till the build atleast two

Also on release a good anders won't let you expand so you did something wrong there, i personally hate anders because she can stop everything you do fairly easy. But like stud said you don't harress good enough and poor micro if your hornets lost to a POR. Also HOW did he get to tech 3 + a scarab?!?!?!?

At chasms it looks like he just went solo prophet.  If he didn't do a quick tech to blessed immolation, a few hogs would easily have taken him out.  If he did, you still could've used hogs to harass him by attacking his base.  5-7 hogs would have been plenty to prevent him from building anything, and they wouldn't clutter his base so much that they'd get destroyed easily.  Just keep them moving and keep them away from the prophet.  Meanwhile, you're free to grab both supply hooks and easily out-tech him.

As for the scarabs, you would have fared much better just by spamming hornets, though you should have researched wingmen at least.  Cobras have the disadvantage of being stationary targets, so they'll easily get taken down with cleansing.  You could have your hornets fly back and forth over the scarab to prevent the hornets from taking any beam damage, and they'll be able to avoid the cleansing beam as well.

 

 

At release it looks like the prophet just spammed hunters and jackals.  Hornets are always a viable option against a prophet making infantry.  If he switches to vampires, you can counter with hogs.  Both have enough speed that they won't be susceptible to cleansing.  I'd also suggest playing without the cryo glitch, though.

EDIT:  It looks like you may have been pushing too hard to finish at release as well.  You lost a lot of hogs to his turrets.  If an attack isn't going well, just pull back and wait until you have the right units or enough units to deal with it.

Is it not the same imbalance as Anders vs Prophet (or any leader for that matter).
The EHG rush is easy to stop imo just be smart about it but that can kinda be hard when your bad.

Arbiter vs POR is truly a pretty fair fight if you are GOOD enough to get past the EHG rush because prophets put so much money into if you stop it there set back and you are good to go.

But if you want you to pull in team games well lets just not go there. k? =)

Also i don't play DM and i think that was what my 3rd game? and the fact that i was holding off by MYSELF when my teammate did nothing shows just EASY DM is to play and how if i had a better partner we could of won. 1 v 1 in DM isnt even hard either went 60-0 before my first loss.

PoR vs. arbiter is more unbalanced than anders vs. PoR, IMO. also, arbiter isn't even my main 1v1 leader; it's anders. i was only experimenting because i wanted to improve my anders vs. arbiter game by playing arbiter.

How is POR vs Arbiter unbalanced BESIDES EHG but even then there easily countered and aren't a huge threat late game. Its mainly just the rush. True Arby can't take hooks back as easy but he can take them the Quickest.Same thing. You all are calling everyone bad because they lose to Anders the most OP leader in the game. I lol when i see it because it makes no sense but yet when we beat anders you say nothing.

So please just stfu and stop saying people suck because they lose to anders.

Also thats like me saying Cheesypoof and Hilaford are bad at this game because they lost to Arby + Anders in 2s when they were Brute + Anders. When everyone knows there not but they DID lose to it (yes me and my teammate beat them). Was a fun match and had a great laugh.

Same with MLC St3alth and Phrenze. Get off the sack and move along.

Also i'm experimenting with my Prophet vs Anders so stop bitching about other people losing to anders its still imbalanced like hell. What you would use to counter hogs + flamers she just builds from the main base so GG its hard to do it and im thinking of improving my anders just so i can beat her.
