    Fix for image retention?

Hey all i read all of the posts regarding people getting this same image retention. Now i have a lcd hdtv, so burn ins are rare. It will usually will be an image retention.

     Image Retention = Temporary

     Burn In = Permanent

I had it a while ago and it finally went away after maybe 3 months of just watching tv, playing other games, and displaying a black screen for a short amount of time. So i thought i can finally play the game again, after just 4 levels in the campaign i am starting to get a little line back again. Thats EVEN after me pausing the game, switching the channel and even turning of the tv briefly every maybe 5 mins of playing.

I'm guessing its just popping back up cuz maybe it didnt go away completely, so playing the game again is making it reappear. Now when i unplug the tv and leave it alone for maybe an hour and turn it back on, the line is gone. This is just crazy, every other game i have NO problems with, no matter what the title and whatever the static image is.

You all may want to look to see if you have it too, strangely enough i only see it in a black or in a dark blue color(i have no idea why this is). I always check by pushing the guide button, clicking achievements and then choosing a game. Where the achivement discription is, where that dark blue area is, i see a black line right where the mini map is.

So is there any word to fix this? I love this game but worrying about this image retention is ruining all fun for me.

I would say that that was a fairly valid reason to join.

And he may have been planning to join anyway. From the post, I got the impression that he'd been lurking as he knew about the other people having problems with it.

Uhh...i would say this is a very good reason to join as this problem should be looked into. Its not like it takes a mile run to get to a website come on...and i didnt have any other reason to join before this came up.

And yes i have been just lurking around and i thought i should say something about this

Tell me again why people buy Plamsa TVs when LCDs have no serious pitfalls such as this one?

I know like 3 people who bought plasma's and they are all *** up because they forgot it on or some BS like that.

Why? The slight motion blur that LCDs give isn't even noticeable...

If you have read my post then you will see it clearly says i have a lcd. It is possible to get an image retention on an LCD, but it definately is almost impossible to get burn in. There is a difference, but yet i do agree that plasmas (unless you get a really new and good one) should not be played on as they are more sensitive

Well then. I have nothing to say.

Other than a dead pixel here and there, I've never known anyone to have had significant issues with LCDs. Interestingly enough, one of my pixels died for a week...and then fixed itself...weird.
