    Arbiter

Alright so, i get over to my enemies base with 3 marines and 2 flamers. he gets to my base with one banshee and the arbitar. i had about 6 squads of marines and 2 flame squads chilling back at base. his one arbitar ripped through them like butter in enrage mode. locked my base pumped out like 5 flamers and finally was able to chase him off meanwhile i was destroying his base with my initial attack.

by the time he was able to destroy my first little attack i had 20 squads of marines heading to his base. (by this time he had his arbitar back up)

Killed all 20 of my marines, with 1 upgrade on my marines, with his arbitar and a single wraith. (he had the upgrade that heals the arbitar when scoring a kill.)

I think it's retarded that this player who sucked really bad was competing with me simply because the arbiter is insane.

You could have done the same to him with a Carpet Bombing or a Cryo Bomb.

Disruptor Bomb Him and then he's just a footsolider with a lot of health.

Good shout, you should also look at your opponent level and character at the beginning of each game to see what you should do, if someone has an arbi then its quite obvious they are going to rush. So simply counter it, good defence counters it aswell as warthog rammin ability. if you can get a few warthogs out by the time he gets over then keep ramming him and it takes down his health quickl (without him being upgraded). But like this guy said just put a disruptor bomb down so he cannot use his enrage mode, then focus everything on him, after hes dead you need to attack straight away so they do not have time to reform. Aim for the temple so they cannot get him back out, also use flamers as they are anti-infantry. Dont moan about rushing, its a hell of a good tactic, you just need to know how to beat it. There are a few ways that i have come across, try it against friends in private matches or something.

Yeah, the upgraded Arbiter can usually plow through Marines all day in upgraded rage mode.  Use Tanks or Hornets next time.

The Arbiter was designed as an anti unit hero, so he is probably going to murder your marines if he is upgraded and the guy has plenty of resources.

Like TNine said tanks and air units are powerful against him, just attack him all at once and dont let him use his enrage mode, use a desruption bomb. Tanks work well,, although they are rather expensive but you can gather resources quickly with forge =]. Also his super unit is grizzly units which are an upgrade from the tanks.

    Re: Arbiter

My last battle was an epic Arbiter vs Two Entire Armies Super Happy Fun Time. I was Arbiter with Regret as an ally against Forge and Cutter. The difficulty level was automatic 57, whatever that comes to, and Regret got roflpwned almost immediately leaving me to face wave after wave of air and armor. I won after over an hour of trying desperately to stay alive. Despite the Arbiter's power I do not believe he's overpowered. The automatic 57 AI is not terribly good and they did stupid things the entire game (for example, I won because they had about 5 grizzlies ignore my scarab as it destroyed Cutter's primary base, securing my win. They destroyed scarabs easily when they decided to, but they often did not decide to). I won because they dropped disruptions in retarded places, like when I'd send him to pick on defenseless outposts, they'd drop it to stop him from attacking a supply post right before I had to recall him anyway to protect my bases. He eventually died when they disrupted him in the middle of about 8 units and he couldn't escape fast enough. All those people telling you to use the disruption bomb to stop him? That's what they want you to do, and by golly it works. I had it happen a couple times when they did "shield" themselves that way and the Arbiter barely got out with his life and had to sit by helplessly while my stuff died.

I use the Arbiter in skirmishes on occasion, but on the whole I have not been overly impressed. He's extremely solid, and I've done beautiful things with him, but I can easily see how he can be practically opposed.
