 what is the order of elite ranks from least to greatest?

what would an elite have to do to get the rank of ultra or zealot?

what are some of elites tactics used in battle?

would there ever be a squad composed of just elites and if so how many?

There were Elite only squads before the first Grunt Rebellion. 

You need to kill shite to get ranks. 

Also, would you post the story in the Library? IT'd be great for a new author to come in.

I got the ranks... most of them anyways.

Minor blue

Major red

Stealth grey

Jump Pack Elites

 Spec. Ops. black

Honor Gaurds (depends on if you count serving the prophet  as being a higher duty than commanding fleets)

Zealots gold

Ultras white 

Council Elites (ship master included I think)

Arbiter 

thats about it I think

For an Elite to become Zealot... idk but it better be momentous

If you are writing  book have a lot of fun with like a squad composed of stealth elites... not really ever talked about so a lot of room to play around with them.  Could write it so they re the Arbiters test team composed of the best but not known by the prophets idk...

As far as tactics go think like a heavy alien ninja...

 elite rank is based on how many opponents they kill. i believe it takes hundreds or thousands to achieve the rank of ultra or zealot. 

elites are usually very tactical, but when it comes to personal honor, they will rush through a hail of bullets to come to grips with their foes. they usually die in the process =/ since elites are immune to fear, they'll charge a thousand spartans in an attempt to kill at least one.

Sangheili are no more immune to fear than the Spartans are. Both are simply conditioned to disregard fear and hold cowardice in low respect. However the Sangheili will kill a cowardly Sangheili, which happens sometimes. If certain events happen, the cowards bloodline or Keep can be wiped out entirely.

the elites did not fear the spartans, they merely respected them for their equal skill in combat. in conversation, they would have treated them like an elite of equal rank: someone to value but not give precedence to.

To the point, best rank (in terms of religion) is arbiter. The best(average) rank is Starfleet genral. Elites have to kill 300 grunts to go up rank. Or 10 humans, but doubt they shall do this >:) hail die humans YOU ELITE SCUMZA
