    No Point in rush

I don't like to rush, and I don't like to be rushed. I think that it takes the fun out of the game, I mean what is the point? Well as I found out, if you use the arbiter or any other covenant units, you can pretty much rush in what 5 min?uhmm.. But if you do that lets say in 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3, You can end the game in less time, if you all have conenant and attack all at once. But honestly, you do not make any points at all, if you  stick and play the game like was  intendet you can

    1) Have fun

    2) Make points

So this is to you all rusher. rush all you want, but do it in  private rooms, most people like to play the game and actualy make some points even if they  have lost

I will tell you the one and only reason that I rush every single game I play in.

Because people like you will not stop it.

    Re: No Point in rush

this game isnt about getting points. it's about winning. this game is VERY VERY easy on rushing. by that i mean rushign sux ass in this game as bases are very hard to kill and very spread out.

a rush in this game is more like... keep your enemy from building units til you can mass enough units to finally take out his base.

Before you judge someone, walk a mile in their shoes. If you still dont agree, you're a mile away, and you still have their shoes.

    Re: No Point in rush

There are simply and easy ways to prevent rushes

the easiest is mine the first 3 crates you see with your beginning unit and then send it straight to your opponents base to see if he or she is rushing you can tell by what they have qued up for production.

if you are UNSC do not build turrets simply mass flamthrowers and in 2v2 game help eachother when one gets rushed

If you are COV rushes simply are not very effective against you, but you must not use you leaders ability early in the game when you do that it makes you lose to the rush, but still do the mine and scout and continue mining with your leader as he mines very quickly.

    scout often and build accordingly

Exactly! You basically have to hold off their units from coming out while pumping out more and more units to take out a base.

    Re: No Point in rush

I do agree with the original poster. Rushing is acceptable, nut the game I have been playing the enemy builds a vast army of aircraft and it was ridicolous. They had no stategy or diversity of units. Then there is always some Captain Cutter huy tjat just produces ODST's, really? Take the fun when away you see 30 drop pods. i play as both races and always build diverse armies. It takes time but there much more reliable and stronger. But of course some guy overdoes it with the ODST's or Scarabs. It take away the strategy. Of course you can work around that but it is difficult when its the first 10 minutes of the game. Lastly the ones thhat do rush say it takes skill to use ODST's and Scarabs. WOW

Rush is only fun for those who like to rush, that  we know. But I honeslty hate rush, I guess I am one of the few who likes to play the actual game..But I guess there is almost nothing I can do ,, just have to play with rusher, and try to kick their ass if I manage to stop the rush

    Re: No Point in rush

This game is built FOR rushers. A good not-rushing game is Supreme Commander. They have an hour no-rush timer, so go play that if you don't want rushes.

But this game is BUILT around rushing. They WANT you to rush.

    Re: No Point in rush

a rush can very effect but 9/10 most people use rushes wrong. a rush should only be used to harm your opponet so you can get map controll and tech up and build an army faster than him. of course if he doesn't defend the rush just beat them right away. it is easy to defend against most rushed if you build an army quick, and in most cases you can easily go and counter afterwards if they spent to much supplies on the rush.

    - 1v1 never play as POR or a good anders will beat you easy, with a effective beggining rush, not because your bad but because there is no way to defend against it as POR.
