    :D

Anywho I have no problem with this, even as I made one of these threads back in the day.

It was pretty much spam and with all the thread like it flying around I can see why he brought out the banhammer.

Aloysius:no purpose or benefit the community.

Ha, thats rich. Since when did you care?

Its painfully apparent that you dont. You (robot) allow boosters to take control of the leaderboards! You siad nothing ethier way about it, and you just deleted peoples thread about pointing out who the boosters are. Everyone could of understood if you really wanted to do something, but Microsofts rules where in the way, or some other reason why you couldnt sort it out. But no, you said nothing, and just allowed i to happen. That destroyed competition, and forced the few good players to leave.

Next, it takes ages for a update to arrive, I can understand that though. But if you knew this, hows about fixing alot in one patch if microsoft takes ages to sort it out?. Whats bad is you say nothing about it until the week before it arrives. Obviously the update wasnt for robot, because they thought it was unbalanced otherwise you would of sorted that at release. It was for community, but you didnt allow us to know what was happening.

Glitchs where never looked at, and since the last patch many things have needed changing, and again you simply dont care, and cant be arsed. The number of glitchs is border line appualing. The game was just unpolished, and its obvious you are making no attempts to polish it.

You never supported the community one little bit. Was it so hard to host a simple tourny with a 1 month card or something? That would require no effort, and would go down a treat.

Another thing. The unit stats are 7 months too late. They should be released at the releas date or soon after. Not months of asking to get the stats of a Banshee.

Robot couldnt give 2 sh*ts about the community could they? We bought the game, you got your cash is that it? Buyer beware, something like that? This is the worst support ive eve seen for a game. Its a shame as its a good game. It only needed some work doing and it wold of been epic.

Since my fingers will be out of work, Ive got one last job for the middle one, and Im pointing it at you robot

FJ, stop the trolling. You're not helping anyone or anything. Remember Felix? Remember how once, he was alright, and then he realised he hated halowars and devoted his life to trolling the forums, ranting about how the game sucked? That's you. You just rant about other things.

    1. They did say something. They said they weren't going to do anything about it. They said any more threads about it would get deleted.

    2.  No one was "forced" to leave. You had a choice.

    3.  What's updates got to do with how much Aloy cares about the community?

    4.  Again, what's the polish of the game got to do with Aloy?

    5.  Agreed. Stats would have been nice. But not really relevant here.

    6.  No amount of polish or support could make halowars epic at this stage. There are way too many inconsistencies canon-wise, from an RTS perspective it's not great, really the only thing it has over other gamest is that hordes of people bought it because it has "halo" in it's name.

Oh the poetic Irony. The person who once defended Robot and was against Felix and his rants now does exactly what he used to do.

As for the problem with boosters, is there isn't much you can do about it. Sure you can ban x amount of people from matchmaking, but it will always be there. I do think Robot could have been more proactive about it, but there is only so much a small support group can actually do.

Look at the time between title updates from some other titles. Halo 3 gets updated about once every 3 months give or take, and they 100+ staff on hand, with some of them solely working on the multiplayer. Robot is not a large company. It's probably about 20 odd former ES employees drafted in to run support of the game, which makes the process of builidng a sutiable patch in the game that bit harder. Give it time. They can only deal about things they know about, you can't expect them to be clarvoant.

Several Giltches as early as the demo have been removed, like the piantbrush giltch for example.

They did host one developers night when the first DLC pack came out.

How long have you been here? ES/Robot never really had that much interaction with the community, and less so after release.

You final comment made me laugh. Your starting to sound like a real senior

He has turned to the dark side!

The only way booster would ever go away would be a severe altering of the TS system or a new system alltogeather

They got 30 or so people full time on halo 3, and they only have like 10 guys on this project 20 on the next, and only a few programmers are old employees

Several Giltches as early as the demo have been removed, like the piantbrush giltch for example.

This I agree with him on, this game did need a wee bit more polish

They did host one developers night when the first DLC pack came out.

They cant do it now because they will not post in on the dashboard (The community is too small)

How long have you been here? ES/Robot never really had that much interaction with the community, and less so after release.

At least they will comment on big community things, not just lock them *cough* leader megathread *cough*

    Re: New Rule on "Leaving."

I'll go ahead and respond to this.

There isn't much we can do about boosting. Playing legitimate matchmade games is playing legitimate matchmade games. We can't take a microscope to all 30,000+ games played every day. I don't delete 99% of the posts about boosters, I delete the 1% where they devolve into profanity and flaming and are against the code of conduct.

Title Updates on consoles are a very complicated thing, a lot more goes in to it than "someone on the forum named "Xx_WeedPot420Goku_xX thinks Grunts need a buff, let's get a patch out today!" There are business decisions well above my head that go in to it, but I report all of the glitches you guys report, we test them out and put them in our bug database. The people who make balance decisions have ideas of what they're going to do and when the decisions are made and finalized for a patch I can announce it, but not before. Saying "Oh we're thinking about maybe patching" and then not patching would be a really bad idea. You guys would go nuts. I announce things as soon as I can legitimately say what is going to be in the patch, and when it's going to come out. We have to work with Xbox Live on timing of actual patch rollout, and sometimes they don't give us a lot of lead time. We're working on that, but there's not a lot we can do.

Glitches are looked at, every one that is reported on the forums is investigated. It's just we're not going to redo the entire pathing/combat/build system because the Arbiter gets stuck once every 500 games while raging over mountains. We know about that glitch, trust us.

I disagree with your assessment that I haven't supported the Community one bit. I've given out hundreds of DLC Codes for Flaming Warthogs, Honor Guard Wraiths and both DLC. I've started up the Dev Blogs and the Skirmish Map pages so the community could better see what went into making Halo Wars. Everyone wanted to know more about why we didn't have a free build system, so I got the Lead Designer to write a Dev Blog on why. We had a play with Devs night that went over pretty well. I answer as many questions as I can for the Fan Fic writers over in the Halo-Verse.

Unit Stats are coming out this late because the designers didn't want people to theorycraft early on after release. Also they are significantly more complicated than I originally imagined, and took me quite a bit of time and effort to get them to where they are now.

In all of this, don't forget that the company that made the game, Ensemble Studios, was told it was closing 6 months before the release of the game. This had an impact on everything, including post-ship support.

Obviously you're unhappy, you talk about it in every recent post. I know the UAE doesn't have support for Xbox Live and that is negatively impacting your experience, but Halo Wars and Robot Entertainment can't do anything about it.

So yes, I understand your frustration, but you are way off base with your second to last paragraph.

edit: I know I"m going to get a bunch of questions on this so I'll clarify. The decision to make and announce patches is way above my head. There are business decisions, and PR decisions for not announcing stuff until we're 100% sure of what's going in to the patch and when it is coming out. The people who make those decisions and the people who announce it (me) have been doing this kind of thing for a very long time, and we learned our lesson long ago not to announce things until we're 100% sure. The feedback that occurs if we announce things that don't come about, or miss a date is much, much worse than the feedback for staying quiet until we're ready.

I think aloy is doing the right thing.

You have all these players who think they speak for the entire community, when the only thing they really care about is a booster besting them on a leaderboard. A leaderboard for a game they constantly exude their displeasure for. They repeatedly complain in a glass half-empty manner and I for one will not miss the negativity, the belittling of others players for "being terrible at this game", flame and all around self-importance these players bring to the forums. The simple fact that you would even make a thread about you leaving shows that they are extremely arrogant and think way too highly of themselves. I guarantee that most of the community does not care. If you have friends here and want to let them know your going, then send them a PM and be on your way.

I dont get why people dont get this stuff already its a bit obvious theres more than just making a patch bsides i lost count how many glitches have been found in the last month or so and buffs n nerf.

but hey i like the arby glitch it saved my vulture hitting by vulture on above a mountain and died after that 1 hit so i could take down a base no problems :D
