belac:Ok, If you've completed Halo 3: odst then you know that Vergil is now with the UNSC.  Now, if i know anything about engineers, i know they can "build" or make other engineers.  Even though, with 3 engineers it takes about 30 mins to make another one, id say it would take maybe an hour, with just vergil building it.  Now, if Vergil was to build another engineer, all of his know, would now be included in the other engineers knowledge as well.  Now, this being said, The UNSC could havr thousands of engineers, in a couple years.  Now, as im guessing, Vergil knows about plasma weapons, and base shields.  So, if there were multiple engineers, working on producing plasma based weaponry, or making a base shield, it would not be very hard for them to make them.  Post your thoughts.

Bravo for your amazing ability to use halopedia, but yes that they could have or that enigineer could of died or not we do not know.

About the guy and the scientist... Why would you disect it if we could make more and watch them build more engineers? Besides, even if we could make them they wouldn't be as good as the real ones...

It sounds like a good idea, but as usual, there will be those who are against trusting aliens, example being Locklear...? That ODST in First Strike who destroyed the crystal. Also, there will be those humans who are still against the UNSC, and having them with access of Plasma based weaponry would be bad. They created body armor and such to prevent low cal bullets from striking the average human being....and ironically, it has not changed much in 500+ years, Plasma was a shock to the UNSC.  Hopefully, the Engineer will stick to repairing material.

Im sure that whatever is needed to make them would be available to them after the alliance with the Elites.

Engineers can build more engineers???

Engineers look like living organisms in OSDT. They don't look or act like machines in that game either. But in halo wars they do... is it just because the view is so far away from them or is the engineer different in the 2 games?

Does any canon say if engineers replicate like cells or if they actually "build" more engineers from the world around them?

Its highly possible, and im guessing that if that was the case though, they would have been found on the ark, where the forerunners put them, so they would be safe from the halo array. so its improbable.

If engineers were indeed created by the forerunners, the engineers would also know everything about the forerunners right? I'm completely sure
