    Dude, I'm not done. I've only finished UNSC Infantry. I still have to finish the UNSC, add the Covenant and introduce the other enemies

    Dude, I'm not done. I've only finished UNSC Infantry. I still have to finish the UNSC, add the Covenant and introduce the other enemies
    Doesn't mean you can't put in, "I will also add Drones, because they are awesome little flying guys with tons of potential!" just because you haven't gotten to the Covenant part yet...

    Please post your ideas for structures, units, concepts and powers. But remember it has to be balanced. There are no limitations, you can use ideas from previous Halo games or even your own units, but a detailed description would be inorder.

    Captain Keys (open to suggestions, obviosly)

    Special unit: UNSC Sniper Squad

    The sniper squad is the ultimite anti infantry in the game, with the biggest weakness yet. The squad will start with one sniper, and one bonocular (unactive) and will have to be deployed (similar to cobras) however, with that outa the way, the snipers will have extremely long range, and high damage to infantry, almost no damage to anything else, snipers RARELY miss, and because im thinking of their range being far greater than even cobras, (maby a cobra and a half) they will not only light up, but leave sniper bullet steaks.

    Upgrade 1: Sniper support.

    UNSC Sniper squads get two snipers and a binocular. this basicaly upgrades their damage, though techneckly the snipers can attack two targers. this also adds 50% more health to snipers (another person in the squad).

    Upgrade 2: Dug in.

    When Snipers are deployed they dig in. note: only applys to deployed snipers. The UNSC sniper will recieve high armor and will no show up on the radar (will show up if player views them, but not on the circle map) the armor would protect against small projectiles like bullets, maby gauss, not fire or shapenel. this would make them much more usefull when deployed.

    Upgrade 3: Magnesium Rounds

    Suggestible due to overpowerment.

    Snipers gain the ability to shoot superheated magnesium. this would alot snipers to do a SMALL amound of damage to a tank, im thinking enough that if 20 snipers (half the unsc pop) targedted 1 tank, it would be an instant kill, but not if 19 hit it, (this does not factor in misses, though snipers are very accurate.

    UNSC SUPER UNIT

    ROCKET HOG

    The rocket hog is similer to other super units, its the same till the last upgrade, however its the only unit that makes sense to make super, because the mainline units are taken. also, its part of halo.

    UPGRADE 4 for the super hog.

    Rockets. the rockets upgrade is does as much as gauss, however it locks on, this makes hogs supreme anti air, and in adition good anti building. however, they can still be trumpted easily by tanks, and they would still be weak to air overall. ei, they wont miss, so they will kill more, but hornets still be hogs (also, chaft pod would make some missles miss, but things like banshees cant dodge that)

    SUPER POWER:(missles from his ship are called ??? specific name) missles

    he will shoot a barage of missles on enemys, thise missles do high damage, and have a SMALL ability to lock on. the missles do hurt heavy armor, but not nearly as much. also when he increases his ability, it increases the # of missles, so the area of effect gets a little bit bigger, but mostly it just lasts longer. the missles themselves would be able to hit air units, but only if your lucky, or there are lots of them (hawk spam?)  also from halo, i think they were aa missles, but that is anti air, and he is in space.  

    I WILL also edit this as it gets better, and i get replys, in addition, im working on a covenant leader, if they add 2 leaders, thats good dlc, and more would be hard on balancing.

    Prophet of Mercy:

    The Prophet of Mercy is similar to other covanant, his only changes are the leader and super unit.

    The Prophet of Mercy starts out exacly like regret, with shields and duel plasma cannons, however his upgrades and ability are vastly diffrent. The only Major change to the phrophet in the begginging is the speed, his is slightly faster.

    Upgrade names are debatable, i didnt come up with anything like divine absolution, or perversion.

    Upgrade 1: Heated Plasma

    His Plasma Cannons do not change to Feulrods, however they do MUCH more damage (equivilant to fuelrods over time) and glow a slighly brighter blue(similar to how other units change to show an upgrade).

    Upgrade 2:Advanced Shielding

    Its what it sounds like, his shields go up. I would say by about 50%, thats a balancing issue though.

    Upgrade 3:Combat Veterancy

    The Prophet has seen to many wars.... with this upgrade, his is faster, does more damage, and is stronger (10% each ???). generaly stronger.

    Now for the super ability.

    The Prophet of Mercy is interesting, he has a type of plasma rifle like weapon. The ability brings you to a screen similar to cutter, but there is no bar to show were it hits next, the weapon itself is a plasma weapon from a ship above, and unlike the beams, it fires shots at the ground, this DOES NOT have 100% accurasy, but the shots do tremendoes damage to what they hit, and some small area of effect damage. It is like firing a plasma cannon from the sky, and there is a slight lag before it his (2 secondes?).

    UPGRADE 1: The Weapon Shoots faster, so instead of shooting 1 shot per seconde, it shoots 2 (cost is based per seconde, so this is basicaly double damage.

    UPGRADE 2: The Weapon Does Splash damage, this is similar to area of effect damage, except instead of just hiting you because your in the area of effect, units have a chance (small) of dodging it, like if you droped water on the floor, it splashes and droplets go everywere, but you might not get hit, depends on your size.

    Upgrade 3: The Weapon could hit air units before, but with upgrade 3, it doesnt explode on the ground, it explodes above it, causing it to hit air units alot easyer, and to have way more splash damage, however, most of it still hits the target(damage from main shot changes from something similar to the mac, to more of a grenade in mid air, the explosion his alot more, but does less damage to the initial target, however, with the plasma, most of it still hits the target, so the damage does not change, the spead just gets bigger, and the air units are MUCH more vulnerable, like fuelrods at long distance, or from aa wratihs).

    SUPER UNIT:Spectre.

    its about time the covanant had something similar to a hog, and now they do.

    the spectre starts out with a turret, unlike the hog, and its a plasma turret. however, it also starts out with 2 gunners on either side with plasma rifles.

    UPGRADE 1: Rapid Fire, the Spectre is upgrades with new weapons. the Plasma Cannon fires faster, similar to before and after with banshees, and the elites are given carbines. (this is interesting because it is better than jackles with carbines because of the elites AND turret, however the turret hasnt gotten good aa like the hog.

    UPGRADE 2: Refit, this is the more crutial upgrade, this makes the spectre have more armor and a y ability, however i dont think overpowered. The spectre will gain higher armor, hunters still beat it, but it takes longer, this is better over shields cause shields recharge, and this needs healing. the y ability isnt all the great, the spectre gets boost, similar to the spectre from halo 2, and can now ram units, however the ram is slightly diffrent, it does the same amount of damage to the unit as a hog, but the spectre takes more damage ( covanant units are weaker) (the armor protect the unit from projectiles, but the ram and armor go toghether, so there is no bonus).

    also, i would like to add a quick piece, the prophet you would think is a good rusher, but hogs will still beat spectres, and the prophet is suceptible to ramming, the covanant have hunters, im not against rushing, but i dont want over powered rushing heros either.

    The only rules are that it has to be canon. I like your ideas about the sniper unit and Spectre, will keep it. Prophet is good with me.

    I'm gonna run something by you guys. Instead of selecting leaders, why not select a division of each army, each has it's own Uber unit, power and structure 

    Ex: UNSC Navy:

    Uber unit: Vulture

    Power: Carpet Bomb and Cryo bomb

    Structure: Shortsword pad: allows for carpet bombs and cryo bombs

    i posted this somewere else, but this should be factored in too, if you want more units with the halowars format, they are easy to get, just time consuming for game developers i would imagine, and you would have to actualy have units to add to the slots,(spectre, aa wraith, ect) similar to how the base upgrades to fortress in the top of the circle menu, the barracks and other unit production buildings could do the same, that slot is unused.

    EX: Barracks - Marines Flamethrower Spartans (with all upgrades as normal)

    Barracks level 2 - Marines Sniper squads and spartans (with all upgrades, snipers too, marines and spartans carry over ie, you research newblood level 1, level 2 has it preupgraded

    barracks level 3 - marines, something else, spartans  ect. as far as you want maby only level 2   (also, mainline units must be cept at all levels, spartans must be on all levels of barracks

    this applys to all unit creation buildings seperate from the base(hogs and whatnot)

    What's bothering me on the remake is: How are you going to fit this on the tradition Circle Menu?

    I really like the ideas, but as another covenent leader, how about Rtas Vadum?

    This is a list of units that i personally think should be added, also its off the top of my head, so it might need revisement.

    Spectre(prowler for brutes) pelicans & phantoms for both teams as a unit(with weapons and no pickup feature), Snipers, another Elite Squad (could be 2 elites, or covert elites w/e), anti-air wraith.

    This is a list of basic add-ons (could be dlc or tu, probably the ladder) that could be made.

    Hunters - should have a melee attack for far more damage at close range.(y ability? or automatic)

    Wraiths - Should have a boost attack at close range (automatic)

    Elite honor gaurds - (start with something besides sword, and only use sword in the red area, similar to mad elites from halo( gold armor only?) automatic)

    Banshees - should flim and roll like they do in halo to dodge specific attacks(automatic)

    Scorpion tanks should not get stuck around enemy infantry, but rather try to drive right through them.(automatic if infantry are in the way, not an attack for closerange like wraith)

    SCARAB - in caps because it is important. i think the scarab should lockdown when its health goes into the red, and heal slowly. when locked down, it should have a small armor boost, and it should heal by itself automaticly until it either gets commanded to move(asuming its not in the red anymore) or it is completely healed.

    When certain units die, they should have a blast radius that does small amounts of damage.

    All viecles, for ground viecles wereever they happen to die, for air wereever the vessle hits the ground. for scarab, wereever it dies, but blastradius should be much bigger.(this does affect all players the same no matter what team)

    Pelicans should be able to carry more, for the sake of stratagie, it should charge you per unit, and just pick them all up (like when you select units with the blue circle) and use as many pelicans as needed (saves time as is more realistic).

    as far as health and damage and armor and all of that, everything seems fine except...

    Wraiths - need more damage, they dont do hardly anything (drastic change with power modulator?) also, the fire should stick to units like napalm, even if only for a few secondes.

    The Scarab should be much harder to kill, or at least have more defenses vs certain units. gun should stay the same.
