He said demo. Why would they spend the time to make a demo to show off once to the press, they'll release it sometime throughout the "Bringing it home" period.

They will probebly just release videos and screenshots over the internet.

+ he said a SMALL demo, it probally wont show much other than a select part of 2 sides shooting each other :p. Maybe not even shooting each other...

Hopefully we will see some in game fighting.

To set expectations, this small demo is NOT going to be made available for fans to download or play.  It is in no way a beta.  We are quite a long ways from being able to say that the game is in beta stage.

Will we be getting anything in-game?

Quite alot of games show off small demo's for just the press and guests at game expo's to play, the expo demoes are usualy a long way off from the demo's you download later and even further from the actual game

The Lost Planet Demo came out a whole year before release.

And Thunder's already said, it's going to simply be a small demo to show case what they've done so far, not a full demo with an entire working side

And demo means demonstration, he could well mean it's just ingame play, not a playable game
