Shadows Call Database
-A few things you need to know before you start reading Shadows Call. Every so often i will update this database with new keywords.
The island empire of The Seth:
An island empire that is mainly tribal. Whose natives are strong in Talent. The population is strongly mage. The empire grows ever weaker as time passes. Once the greatest empire the world had ever seen, now crumbling as others advance in technology, overtaking their tribal ways of living.
Talent:
A magical force that is inside all humans. Some learn to harness this energy and turn it into magic, each talent is unique to the user, some master illusions, and some choose to learn the ways of Vir. One person can learn many different forms of Talent but they will never be as effective as the first one they learn.
Wetboy:
A renowned killer who finds creating corpses as easy as counting to 3. They learn to use their Talent is a way to enhance their combat effectively. They get by killing their targets by using stealth and speed. It is said that 30 assassins < 1 Wetboy.
Assassin:
A simple mercenary who has no connection to Talent who also gets by using stealth and speed. Cheep and ineffective compared to Wetboys, usually hired by poorer people living in the west side of Cenoria.
Cenoria:
Cenoria is a weak nation in great poverty, with a weak military. More commonly known as the “Shadow Kingdom” They could be easily be attacked and overtaken. Run mainly by the Sa’Kagé, its main industry is Prostitution. Nearly lawless, the king of this nation is powerless to do anything as the Sa’Kagé runs everything, although the king is getting some nerve and plans to abolish the Sa’Kagé and what he thinks will bring the Kingdom back to a liveable civilization. East Cenoria is the rather richer side compared to the west.
Warrens:
Located in west Cenoria, where the Sa’Kagé are most powerful. The warrens are slum’s where several groups have people have banded together to create guilds to help look out for each other. Guilds can often go to war for territory or food. Members of guild can range from 6 years old all the way to 18. There is usually no more than 60 members to a guild.
Kulundia:
The Kulundia are a powerful and vast spreading nation who has the largest economy in the world. It has many inhabitants who are strong in Talent and have learned to harness the power of Vir. Vir is a powerful dark magic that can cause total destruction but it morphs your body the more you use it.
Sa’Kagé:
Meaning, Leader of the Shadows, is known as the “Underworld” led by the “Shinga” and “The Nine” who unofficial rule Cenoria. The Shinga’s word goes, and The Nine are his advisors. Like many organisations the Sa’Kagé has its enforcement, like Kulundia has their National Guard who police the society, the Sa’Kagé has Wetboys and Assassins by are hired to solve any unrest in the community, loyal to the Sa’Kagé they are a great way to keep the Organisation safe.
