If you guys have read the book Ghosts of Onyx then you know that the rest of the spartans(cant remeber names) are trapped in a forrunner artifical "sheild world". THe forruners created the sheild world so that if rings were fired then any life form living inside would still live. THe book also say that the planet was VERY big. We all know that the forruners fired the rings to stop the flood and in the procces they died. BUT isnt it posible that some foruuners are still alive in either the sheild world or somplace in the galaxay. I just find it wierd that they would create this planet but then not use it.I mean they knew that they were firing the rings and were gonna kill all life. SO we really dont know if the forruners are COMPLETLY dead.

 

 

For all we know, the Flood could have gotten into the Shield Worlds with the Forerunners.

We'll just have to wait and see what Bungie come's up with...

there is no way the flood could have oggten in the sheild world. if you have read ghosts of onyx then yoou know how well the forruners protected it. also the sheild world only opened once the rings were fired leaving the flood only a few days to both find onyx and getting in the shgeilded part

sumtin esle is, when they took the floaty pods in GoO cuz it had umm w/e s3 team in it, they might have also taken  sum slipspaced forerunners, since they couldnt exactly see into the pods, cathy's ai just claimed there were life signs right? wat kind  of life? ( off the top of my head, been months since i read the book)

I have read GoO. And I clearly remember that the Humans were defending the portal into the Shield world, and the Covenant nearly got in.

The Spartans got lucky that the Covenant didn't get into the Shield world, maybe the Forerunners were not so lucky while fighting the Flood....

this is toatally out of the box like, but what if the flood are the fore runners O.o like grave mind could be a flood fore runner .... its possible isn't it??

The flood can't be forerunner, there's no sense in it.

And the forerunner very well could be alive, but something we've been discussing is the reason they couldn't get into the shield world, maby due to the forerunner's own creations (the monitors) back stabbing them (server 5 on halo3.com seems to be a monitor speaking and activing the HRS) or an unknown enemy attacking them and leaving them no chance of getting into the shield world

maybe, but wouldnt it make sense to have sum forerunners like on each halo installation and sum on onyx, and if they have a homeworld, there too, so if they had to activate the  HRS then they might b able to save sum forerunner lives, u know sacrifice many for few i guess, thats wat im sayin in my last post. You know like they communicated b4 activatin the HRS and the forerunner on onyx didnt have time to get to the sphere's portal so they hid in the pods instead.

i think it would only be logical that somethin made it into the dyson sphere, i mean there wouldnt be much of an adventure for the "new" blue team if noone was in there with em' right. Maybe the forerunner can show them how to escape, or inadvertently release the flood.

yeah, but they took the pod things in the sphere too, so if they could open those w/o killin the spartans or forerunners or w/e inside then, if it was forerunners inside those, they might get out or just build a possible civilization in the sphere?
