Seeing as how at this point in time the Flood is feral, and has no real brain, I'd have to say that's stretching it.

However I would like to see a Covenant campaign. Saying that it usually feels good to be bad, but this time it feels good to be good? Huh uh. I'd like to fuel the Covenant on to seperate campaigns. It doesn't even have to share the same storyline from a Covenant perspective- what was the rest of the Covenant up to?

    Destroying humanity.

Maybe the expansion could be trying to uncover an artifact on a human planet, and then glassing the crap out of it. And NO FLOOD! Jesus christ, why the ***, and how the ***, could flood get on the shield world in the first place?

Distant Storm:From reading that, I'm going to assume $60 for the main, $40 for the add-ons since blizzard is GREEDY.

they can get away with being greedy however, because their games rock.

The forerunners had a 300 year long war with the flood 100,000 years ago, the shield world got over taken by the flood, and the forerunners couldn't get it back, and once the forerunners killed themselves to starve the flood, there was nothing anyone could do about the flood, so the flood just stayed there.

Read my FF! Human-Covenant War: Without The Great Schism. It's an FF based upon how the war would have ended up if there was no Great Schism. There are a lot of twists and there is a lot of action!

Hm, lets see. Sentinels also existed on the planet. Why didn't THEY kill them? Plus, the Flood had thousands of Forerunner ships nearby, why not take them and blow up the galaxy?

Re: They should have a Covenant Campaign DLC......

a flood campain would work if you play from the aspect of say a new hive mind or whatever it was called that controls the flood. the covenant used anders hand to start the activation process of the ships.

the flood probably did something like hitch a ride on a forerunner ship and when it hit the shield world they started spawning or whatever they do. or hell they could have made like a super spore cannon and shot their spores out to other planets like in starship troopers. there are plenty of possibilities as to how it could happen. as far as time goes in the game it doesn't take long for the flood to start producing their massive force once a few get into the inside of the planet.

Blessedgrub, good answer lol, short and sweet. Noc, starmap things wtf? Are you talking about the ball thing anders activated after you beat the second mission? Dude, did you not see in the cutscene where the prophet of regret touched the ball thing and it was red and wouldn't activate? So if the Covenant can't activate it, and only Humans can, how the hell would the flood activate the ball thing? And the ships didn't need to be activated? When anders touched the ball thing at the Apex Site, did you not notice the ships activating AFTER she touched it? So therefore, the ships need to be activated.

Hm... valid point. But, considering, after the humans LANDED, the flood could've infected a few, and used remaining DNA/RNA signatures to activate the ships. And don't tell me the Flood were preoccupied by defending attacks from the Humans/Covenant. Because, up until the, what, 10th mission, the flood still had a Grave mind.  So, once activated, they could've built a Proto Gravemind within a few hours (see: Halo Graphic Novel and Halo: CE) and taken off into the sky.

How can they be outnumbered. Don't you know there are sentinal factories. For example in Ghosts of Onyx, that is a perfect example of the armies that the sentinals can make. What can the flood do with no other organic race around for thousands of years.

Re: They should have a Covenant Campaign DLC......

Covenant Campaign would be a nice idea.

Flood/Forerunner as playable characters would only be good for Skirmish. Hell, why not make the Rebels playable as well? Sure, this would all take a long-ass time to do, considering they have to make new models, textures, animations, maps, change scripts here and there. It would probably be better off as a seperate game in itself. Just like Nazi Zombies.

They screwed up Halo's canon in one campaign, don't put it through the pain again.

they only got outnumbered once hosts from the covenant and humans landed on the planet the setinals still got destroyed by the flood in the 100,000 years before anyone found the planet. so the factories where there to keep the army of setinals present and keep the flood under control but the main sentinals get destroyed easily.

and as for the flood can activate the "starmap thing" just because they infect humans does'nt mean they can activate the ships after all the physical body of the host changes to become the flood so anything that was human is gone they only things kept by the flood is the BIO MASS and the memorys of the host

Well, actually, considering they had a proto-gravemind, they could've been told to not destroy the core human DNA.

I think it would be worthwhile to have a covie campaign. we can see what happened to the brute chieftain, and what the arbiter was doing when he was "skulking around in abandoned mausoleums" the mission where arby captures anders would be a fun one, and maybe have a what if senario as the legendary ending where forge fails to plant the reactor.
