First this is NOT directed at every, Cutter player only the majority that I have unfortunately been teamed with.

You f*cking suck! Spamming Marines and teching up to ODST is predictable and useless against a skilled player. God forbid you'd have enough brain power to mix in other units. Some of you actually do have enough brain power to mix in Flamers but unfortunately it's not good enough. Learn to use, Cutter in skirmish first before coming into 3v3 and bringing down your teammates.

This is just my little rant that I had to get this off my chest. Also I know I'm not the only person who feels this way. You can call me every negative word you want for posting this but I don't know you and you don't know me so your opinion of me really won't matter.

This is how a General plays Cutter!!!

     http://www.halowars.com/stats/StatsGame.aspx?Id=16942386-0806-0226-7362-000000000000

Started off with 24 hornet one upgrade.  Totally killed the Forge player who decide to go flamers cause I'm Cutter. :D

After I was done killing him I moved over to the second Forge player who now had Gauze Cannon on his hogs and Grizzlies.  Lost half my hornets there.  Took what was left back to my base.

Recycled my Air Pads for some Factories and pumped up 6 Cobra.  Swapped out my flamer turrets for some rail guns!  And wait for the Forge to come a knocking.  And he sure did. :D

    PEACE!!!

Yep, that is the best thing about Cutter.  If you don't have a scouting enemy, the game is yours 75% of the time, the other 25% is just me and my ability to *** up a win with one huge mistake.

Like people have said, Cutter can do anything because nobody expects it.  Against Covie though, you are normally forced to go infantry to counter leaders and infantry,  scouting is the only way to be sure, however.  Against UNSC you either go infantry (Bad idea against experienced players.), armour or airborne first, then if it doesn't work initially you just build units that counter the counter-units against your initial attack, not that that doesn't work with every leader, but works especially well with Cutter.

cutter can go anything so people should expect anything, or scout. also any leader can go which ever way they want to go. i love spamming marines as forge.

    I love spamming spar-tanks as cutter :D.

PS... you said you were going to sleep... -_-

    Re: Cutter Players

Personally i feel Captain Cutter is one of the most versatile and strongest leaders to choose from, mainly because:

1.Elephants make good meatshields to shove your cobras and wolverines behind, rendering attacks from an anders or a forge virtually useless, in all games that i've succeeded in making this defence i've fought off attacks, sometimes from 2 armies at the same time and beaten them.

2.LATE GAME the option to just instantly build and throw 10 ODSTs onto a battlefield can be vital, say finishing a base, scarab or just getting some reinforcements onto the field, its all good.

3.The Mac Blast. Personally my favourite leader power, can devastate armies or coupled with a few vultures and destroy a base before the enemy even has time to react.

But yeah, the majority of Cutter players do suck as all they do is ODST, even if its against Forge... >_<

And noone's ever beaten me due to my ultimate strategy of not having a 360!!!! I'm so awesome...

    why are you here than???

    Sorry for the late reply...

I'm here because I'm a fan of Halo, and a fan of RTS, and as a result thought that a Halo RTS would be just about the most epic thing ever when I first heard about the game. Now I'm so-so as far as liking halowars goes, although I've only ever played one game on the demo, so meh. Maybe if they manage to avoiding blowing canon into a million tiny pieces in the next one.

I was lurking (is that the correct term for watching a forum but not having an account) here on and off since early 08 to see how the game developed, and I came to like the forums. When a significant number of members who I respected left and the forums were flooded with fine gentlemen, I decided to make an account to try and bring some semblance of order to the forums where I posted, but they have ended up righting themselves of their own accord after a while. There's still a little ways to go, but we're almost back at a very good level.

There was something else I was going to say, but I forgot it...

Also, I plan to get a 360 at the end of the year, but atm I'm in year 12 (last year of high school before university, generally considered the most important year of school here), and so either wouldn't have time to play and so might as well save money by buying later, or would spend time playing when I should be studying. Either way, it's better if I wait til the end of the year to get one.

    Re: Cutter Players

You'd be suprised what you can do with ODSTs, even when you make them from the very start. At the beginning of the game, try to get your hog close to their base, but out of sight so it won't be destroyed. Play normally and get ODSTs as fast as you can, then build 10 squads out of your barracks. Seperate them into groups of five. Move your warthog (if needed) so you can see the back of the enemy base and use 2 pelicans to transport the marines in. Drop all of you drop-pods as they land. If you choose a half decent spot to position your marines (tanks have a harder time reaching you through a bottle neck in back compared to the front of the base) you're pretty much guarenteed to destroy that base.

    Re: Cutter Players

The key word there is "Skill". I have seen some people use Cutter very well but sadly they are the enemy and are doing one hell of job keeping me at bay at the very least. I just never seem to get the skilled Cutter players on my team so when I do get someone as Cutter on my team I tend to cringe.

Captplanet117:the cutters you play with just suck. they clearly dont know how to micro manage thier rockets or group them to destroy specific things. marines are a deadly force when combined with a MAC and the skill to control them

    Re: Cutter Players

If one is going to elephant rush then I can understand the spam aspect but when you are just going to sit back and do nothing until you have a max pop or ODST's and a maxed MAC then really what good are you to the team? I've seen many people do this then just have the enemy roll on in with tanks and anti-infantry. Bye bye ODST's. No your teammate has nothing and is eaily destroyed.

    Encrypted AI:

I use cutter, and I spam marines, when I elephant rush.

Honestly it is the most adept leaders, but I find it fun to fix it up and play as other leaders

I'm not bitching about my opponents spamming marines but my own teammates who do it yet have no idea how to effectively use them then to only be run over the the enemy very quickly due to lack of skill when playing as Cutter.

    Re: Cutter Players

I can't. I don't use Cutter or infantry so I can't tell you or anyone how to effectively use them. However having your army of infantry wiped out and having done very little damage with them before they were wiped out isn't in my opinion effectively using them. Now as my teammate you are defensless and an easy target that I might need to help protect thus spreading myself thin and if you need supplies that is only one more thing.

My advise, play with people you know. Don't complain about things you can't control, like your stranger teammates. I only play party teams. Playing a game like HW with people you don't actually know and no communication, is a recipe for many losses. It doesn't matter if your teammates are Cutter or not...... BTW: Learn to quote correctly.
