Does it have anything to do with the fact that the word "halo" is in it?

I could sell *** ona stick if i said it was master chiefs ***.

Re: Halo Wars was the big step for console rts, Halo Wars 2 must be a jump!

    I have a few ideas:

Entrenching.  Many people complain about the modular base design but I like it, it streamlines base-building and adds strategic depth.  But it does make turtling less satisfying and less effective.  So, keep the current base design and add in an ability to free build fortifications.  Maybe make any 'offensive' defenses require a unit to man them but also have things like razorwire, barricades, and minefields.  The variety and usefulness of fortification options could make the different factions even more distinct.

More Factions.  A no-brainer really, the Flood and maybe the Forerunner Constructs.  More variety in the Leaders would be nice too.  And give each faction the same aesethic sophistication, compared to the UNSC the Covenant are rather bland.  With the UNSC bases are dropped in by massive shuttles and welded together on the field, attatchment buildings are fabricated in below ground shops before being sent to the surface for use, supplies and Vultures are sent from orbit, and units deploy from and underground garage.  With the Covenant buildings are assembled by beams of fairie dust and supplies and units merely squeeze into existence from nothingness.  Clearly someone got more attention than the other.

Mini-Campaigns.  This is really a resolution with the realities of storytelling and the needs of gameplay.  For the Spirit of Fire to encounter the Flood again on its long journey home is quite frankly ridiculous.  However, fighting the Flood in the Halo Wars campaign was fun and added needed variety.  So instead of working the Flood into the main story have smaller secondary stories about battling the Flood, the battles at Alpha Halo, Delta Halo, and the Ark primarily.  Imagine commanding UNSC forces fighting for survival during the events of Halo 1, or leading the assault on the Library of Halo 2's Installation 05.  A few missions showing another angle on these famous battles would enrich the single player experience while not throwing Halo canon to the ravenous Doberman Pincers.*  And putting those missions in separate campaigns to the the main story would prevent irritating and unnecessary tangents.

*I don't want to hear how it has been already.  It is verifiable fact that the only real contradiction to be found amongst Halo canon is Fall of Reach having Elites and Hunters unknown to UNSC forces until the Battle of Sigma Octanus IV in 2552 while both species being well known in both Halo Wars and The Cole Protocol prior to that date.  To me having both officers and light field artillery be practically non-existant parts of a military for 27 years of conflict always seemed to be a rather idiotic idea anyway.  Most other so called contradictions are solved by the phrase "You just didn't see any."

Re: Halo Wars was the big step for console rts, Halo Wars 2 must be a jump!

    Guilli:

Halo Wars has this amazing interface, and perfect controls (imo) It is the best selling console rts (as an xbox exclusive, it sells more than any other console RTS ) so Halo Wars must be the big jump for console rts.

(This are not petitions but possible ideas for you robot, or anyone who still dreams, from your fanbase)

Halo Wars 2 should really be the  first big  shot of robot,  and imo HW2 should feature this.

1-Two campaigns (anyone remembers halo 2?) But covenant campaign should NOT be the same missions only from the other perspective. (you get the idea)

I actually like this, a lot

2-Another faction, maybe flood (Multiplayer only) (there's another post with really good flodd-as-faction ideas.)

Maybe, but as of now they dont have any plans to do so.

3-More leaders, up to 10 leaders might be good (keep reading the post and you'll see why.)

When there are that multiple leaders, it gets too diverse for a console RTS (See: CnC)

4-A massive multiplayer, (in comparisson to Halo Wars') Something like 8v8 (imagine that! just epic.)

They can BARELY fit in the coding for 3v3 without it being a GIGANTIC lag-fest.  An 8v8 would be terribly laggy

5-If you're planing to release new modes for this one also, please include them in the disc! (or at least strategic options should be there.)

I dont get this one, but yes?

6-Halo Wars has only 15 xbox live "slots" so, you are maybe wondering, how are they going to have 8v8, if they're stuck with this modes already.

Huh? I'm lost at this point

7-More units, make a more complicated game, a bigger variety of units, add the falcon! (*** it looked good) and the cougar. and other deleted stuff. (has to be accurate to halo's storyline but, you can create your own by focusing on the spirit of fire.)

They want to make this game simple with the only 8 things per screen crap they said they do.  While I do want more diversity, like I said before, if any console RTS game gets TOO complicated, only the hardcore RTS players stay and bam.  That just isnt good.

8-A bigger population cap, if it's not added to 1v1, 2v2, at least on 3v3 maybe 10 units more (start with 40 as unsc-upgrade to 50, and start 50 covie-upgrade to 60. sorry, but in 3v3 you'll have to deal with 3 scarabs.) and in 8v8 add 20 more, (you know how it goes. and yes, DEAL WITH 4 SCARABS! YOU'RE 8 IN A TEAM MAN!)

See: They can barely fit all those units in a game type now in a 3v3, anymore it will cause such a lagfest.  Learn to program and the effects of lag, or dont bother giving advice to a multi-million dollar corporation on how to do program their maps.

Well, i think that adding a "random mode" party and non party should be in. (the random  modes should be strategic options) or maybe (this is going to sound stupid) ask microsoft for 5 more slots, after all, you're one of the guys that are making those guys rich. (even more now)

Of course this game will be even more balanced than halo wars was right out of the box back in march-april? (It's going to start with the balance issues added in the halo wars TUs)
Ok so this is it, if you have any other ideas they're welcome in this post, like i said, this are not petitions but ideas.

(If anyone thinks the 8v8 is not going to work, party or non party, think twice, how many of us are not waiting for a sequel of this game? and who does not only has 2 other friends playing halo wars?)

I don't know about most of the ideas but if the massive multiplayer is added this is going to be the best rts console ever. (imo)

How is the General rank fair again?

Thats cuz Halo Wars is a Basic Strategy Game but it's still Amazing though.

I think just new units, free base plantations and just a few more leaders is amazing. Not 10 just 2 or 4

one thing that bothers me is that ensemble was probably one of the greatest RTS studio...and microsoft went and closed it down, so what do we see next?
