    You've gone off topic, complaining about me.  If you don't like me, fine.  I've explained time and time again why this game fails in the threads that says it's good or where people complain about me, not every thread.

    The interface was okay, I would of prefered it if they had allowed group creation, and better attack commands. It was, but looking at the competition, that's not saying much. I would say it was a jump, it was a very stripped down RTS game, with only the basics on show. You could argue it was a step back, but I disgress.

     Now to your suggestions.

    I would of liked a Covenant Campiagn, but I aslo remember the backlash to Halo 2 because of the lack of the Chief.

    There was indeed a very good thread about how to implement the Flood, but that was a long time ago. I think the way it had been suggested, it could of worked, just not in this style of RTS. There has been so many thoughts and suggestions over the years about more factions, I'm not going to vcomment.

    Unfortuantely that is out of the question. They just can't do it from a techincal standpoint. I've played other Console RTS games, and with the kind of numbers you're talking about and the amount of units that would be onscreen at the same time, it would most likely cause 9/10 games to lag out.

    I'm pretty sure the modes that this game will have, including the DLC ones will be avaiable in a sequel from the start.

    Agreed. Halo Wars had some Canonical flaws in some of its units, such as the plasma rhino, but I would love to see other units in their as well, such as the Covenant Spectre.

    I don't really see the point. 40 Population seemed fine to me. Also Scarabs are pathetic in this game, numbers wouldn't help.

    I'd like a random mode, just because it would mix things up a little.

    I think the game is pretty balanced, and it will be even more after TU3.

    I don't know about most of the ideas but if the massive multiplayer is added this is going to be the best rts console ever. (imo)

    Like I said before, it's not because they could due it due to time or balancing issues, it's just the console couldn't handle it.

    Well this thread is certainly popular... unlike a certain poster who acts like a troll although he's named like a cat.

     

    As for that previously mentioned person, well, umm, how do I accurately describe him in detail without getting in trouble? Well I guess I can't. It's simply an impossibility.

     

    As for the thread's intended topic, I have a lot to say. I would prefer to talk about pleasant things, and Felix doesn't even come close. There are certainly improvements to be made with the gameplay of Halo Wars. More units and more freedom with base creation are on the top of my list. The pacing is fine, all that's needed is more depth. However, 8 vs. 8 is very ridiculous. I think that 3 vs. 3 is fine, as that is a big enough cluster***k (for lack of a better term) already. More leaders? Sure, but they must be both unique and balanced. In general,  I want more stuff, but not anything unbalanced, boring, or just plain stupid.

    I hate to be an ass, but why post your opinion over and over again on the site of a game you don't even like, i'm sure pretty most everyone on this forum knows you hate this game, we don't need constant reminders. What makes you different from the people like 'lol game suckz i will nevar play agen', everyone just says k bai to them.

    Well, I actually give reasons and proof as to why the game is bad and/or why it was better in 07.



    What does this achieve? The game won't be changed, so your reasons really don't do much apart from make it look like you are obviously more intelligent than half the idiots who complain about this game..atleast you have a bit of dignity about it, but again, the complaining will never change this game so i dont see the reasoning behind it

    Edit - apologies for going off-topic badly, and my first bit of relevant posting to the OP - you have very good ideas, and the covenant campaign especially is a very good idea as i found the campaign in HW very lacking and short, so perhaps two of that length would be better

    I don't think there would be much backlash on HW as you don't really get very attatched to any specific character in RTS like you do playing as the same one constantly, thats my thoughts anyway.

    8v8 it sounds awesome but in reality it would be epic LAG!!!! unless every player can only make 1 unit

    True, but before the game came out, the community was very critical of the game at every single turn.

    I personaly think that they needs to be more leaders, a tech tree where you upgrade attack, defence, and Y ability upgrades/ special upgrades, I think that the tech should be changed so that each tech costs less but there are more tech levels. 7 units per building (each of the slots) and press y to go to the upgrade tree. That is all

    Okay, I find Felix's answer to be sufficient.  If he likes the Halo discussion pages and things unrelated to the game, fine, he could do it else where, but who cares at this point.

    BTW, I do remember you so adamantly defending the game way back when, if you can remember, I was Jsten419 (duh...), but then my Windows Live account purged itself of Halo Wars for some reason, but you never could have thought Wars would be more complex than it currently is.  Even when I was looking at the demo footage from E3 '07 I knew the base-building mechanics would never work properly.  This game was always destined to be a watered down, plain RTS, but it was made awesome by the awesome units, awesome(ish) campaign, awesome co-op (A-la Red Alert 3) and unfounded accessibility.

    07, it looked simply, yet complex, like an RTS actually is. 

    08, it just looked simply. 

    I knew the game was and had to be wattered down, but it looked and was perfect in 07.

    1) thats a good idea. i just hope its not like Halo 2 (there are 13 levels in total-but only 7 are playable from master chiefs POV the other 6 by the arbiter) if u dont understand here is an example - if Halo Wars has 15 levels, if Halo Wars 2 has both covenant and unsc point of views then it should look like this -15 levels unsc and 15 levels covenant

    2) yes that would be great i also have seen many flood ideas before and hope that it can be implemented into Halo Wars 2.

    okay now for my and other fans ideas:)

    1) a map editor would be nice - alot of people have been asking for this and i agree

    2) a free for all mode. (i dont care what other people say about this but some fans want it)

    3) a theater mode. (ok i thought this up unless someone thought of it first but there should be a theater mode, sort of like Halo 3's theater mode, but not quite. You can save your games and watch them later but the thing that is different is that u can watch other peoples game while their playing. you can look at their strategies and what not and maybe learn. people who are watching can talk (or text) to other people that are watching. the people that are playing however cannot hear them though as to not disrupt the game. you can also for example press Y to bring up the map they are playing on and see what happened prior to your entrance. i dont really know how to explain it but units appear as dots (color of the dots match the color of your units) on the map (overhead view) and it shows the major battles that have occurred.

    i think thats a cool idea and hope Robot is reading this:)

    4) a survival mode. instead of attacking each other your main objective is to survive against the flood by building units like you would in standard. after 10 minutes the flood will be unleashed and all u have to do is survive. the flood get stronger after each wave. there should be a leaderboard for the longest time in survival mode. (another idea i thought up)

    5) a no-rush mode. its name says it all (im not asking for this, its just that other people are complaining about rushes so here's a mode where u cant rush)

    6) something like Halo 3's file share -  to share and spread maps, screen shots, etc.

    i think that's all i have so far

    if i have another idea i'll post again
