    Yes, it was a big step backwards.  Halo Wars 2(if such a thing were to be made, god help us...) would need to be made on the pc.

    It is a big step up.  I bet if they released LOTR people would realize how big of a step up that game was.

    (This are not petitions but possible ideas for you robot, or anyone who still dreams, from your fanbase)

    Halo Wars 2 should really be the  first big  shot of robot,  and imo HW2 should feature this.

    1-Two campaigns (anyone remembers halo 2?) But covenant campaign should NOT be the same missions only from the other perspective. (you get the idea)

    2-Another faction, maybe flood (Multiplayer only) (there's another post with really good flodd-as-faction ideas.)

    3-More leaders, up to 10 leaders might be good (keep reading the post and you'll see why.)

    4-A massive multiplayer, (in comparisson to Halo Wars') Something like 8v8 (imagine that! just epic.)

    5-If you're planing to release new modes for this one also, please include them in the disc! (or at least strategic options should be there.)

    6-Halo Wars has only 15 xbox live "slots" so, you are maybe wondering, how are they going to have 8v8, if they're stuck with this modes already.

    7-More units, make a more complicated game, a bigger variety of units, add the falcon! (*** it looked good) and the cougar. and other deleted stuff. (has to be accurate to halo's storyline but, you can create your own by focusing on the spirit of fire.)

    8-A bigger population cap, if it's not added to 1v1, 2v2, at least on 3v3 maybe 10 units more (start with 40 as unsc-upgrade to 50, and start 50 covie-upgrade to 60. sorry, but in 3v3 you'll have to deal with 3 scarabs.) and in 8v8 add 20 more, (you know how it goes. and yes, DEAL WITH 4 SCARABS! YOU'RE 8 IN A TEAM MAN!)

    Well, i think that adding a "random mode" party and non party should be in. (the random  modes should be strategic options) or maybe (this is going to sound stupid) ask microsoft for 5 more slots, after all, you're one of the guys that are making those guys rich. (even more now)

     Of course this game will be even more balanced than halo wars was right out of the box back in march-april? (It's going to start with the balance issues added in the halo wars TUs)
    Ok so this is it, if you have any other ideas they're welcome in this post, like i said, this are not petitions but ideas.

    (If anyone thinks the 8v8 is not going to work, party or non party, think twice, how many of us are not waiting for a sequel of this game? and who does not only has 2 other friends playing halo wars?)

    I don't know about most of the ideas but if the massive multiplayer is added this is going to be the best rts console ever. (imo)

     

    the console is at the edge of its limits to handle a 3v3 let alone a 8v8.

    seriously, 8v8 would have to wait for a next gen console... and live :P

    next gen console would mean buffed graphics so that would be extra info so even then its still no. i can see 5v5 on the next gen.

    That was a ludicrously stupid thing to say.  Halo Wars is on the 360 for a reason, it isn't a complicated RTS and it doesn't try to be, so why compare?  What is the point of posting here every day when you appear to be so vehemently anti-Halo Wars?  Is it all a rouse?  Halo Wars is one of the most important games of this generation.  Why?  Because when more developers attempt to make RTSs on consoles, they will look to the first game to ever have nearly flawless controls and awesome game play on a controller.  I've been watching this forum since early last year and can't seem to figure out your particular beef.

    Of course it is.  That's not any new information. =(

    Anyways, why is everyone already anticipating Halo Wars 2? Yeah, Halo Wars is simplistic in terms of an RTS, but I'm very content with the way that it is now. 

    Shouldn't we allow them the time to fulfill the community's every whim? If you aren't overly-hyped this isn't directed at you: a more complex Halo Wars RTS will take some time to consider, of course.

    I agree wholly that the transition that Halo Wars represents is a great one.

    well, one of the achievements is "Ready for the Sequel", so that kinda implies that there will be a halo wars 2.

    Yea, good idea. It was in WC and it was Awesome.

    8v8 would just not be fun. The game isn't desined for it, units and maps. It would lag and would run extremly slowly. 4v4 is as much as they could ever do.

    It doesn't matter if there are heaps of units, Just aslong as they play well, are well tought out and balenced.

    Ukurse, in case you didn't notice, you have 117 posts on this account. Just thought I'd mention it...

    I agree with you on the last point. It would make more sense to reduce the pop cap on larger games to reduce the amount of units, and therefore lag.

    On the second last point: It obviously matters to the OP, otherwise he wouldn't have said it.

    Personally, I'm not a fan of DLC, but I really don't care either way.

    8v8 would just be too big.

    Another faction is desirable but not necessary.

    A covie campaign would be awesome.

    On other posts:

    Map editor would be sweet.

    I kinda like the fixed base system. It simplifies base building and frees time to micro your army. Maybe, as someone else suggested, allow options for each player. But that would introduce a set of problems, e.g. How do you decide where people can put a fixed base? How do you make games even between fixed base and free base players? The free base player can put anything anywhere they want, but the fixed base player can only build in certain places. This is hardly fair, but I guess it could be overcome, but would require a great deal of work.

    Halowars is slightly lacking in depth, but that's probably at least partly due to the fact that developers are still working out how to do RTS  on the console. With Halowars they weren't trying to make a deep rts, they were trying to create one that would actually work on the console.
