Early game, 2 turrets with rail guns can destroy a small army of warthogs. The warthogs turrets (before gauss) do not do alot of damage to turrets but for some reason, turrets with the anti infantry attachment are not really good at stopping a infantry rush early game? Their nades own the turrets and it takes the turrets forever to kill one squad of marines.

the problem with infantry is that there are many marines making up one squad, and the turret kills each seperately whereas a warthog is just one unit taking all the damage, if you see what i mean

Chieftan has this problem aswell, at T3 Chieftan upgrade you can take 3/4 of a marine squads health with one hit, but it then takes about 2-3-4 hits to kill each remaining marine which causes minimal damage to the squad as a whole.

It is always good to have flamers even if you got turrets. Turrets can not replace units really..

They are just there to aide your units

After the patch this will be slightly better with the 5% increase in health and damage but still like the guys above me said...you still need units.
