 In some aspects; yes. But in others, no. Bungie.net to me is like a second home, I've made countless friends on there who I play with each day, they read my stories, and we chat. Did you ever try out private groups?

 Bungie is better than this site. But I accept your choice to live in the Dark Age.

It depends on which forums you go in. For example, on this site, if you go in the Multiplayer forum, you get a bad impression. It's the same with Bungie.

I hate the bungie.net site

it's full of morons who all they do is flame everyone for no reason

have ego problems and challenge people to 1v1 all the time

looks cartoony and unpleasent to the eye trying to read the posts

and all the topics are "check out my montage" or "OMG power weapon whores" and last but not least the great "BR, AR" debate. Those are the only forums I have been to that I didnt like

I liked L4D, GOW2, Halo Wars, ect. Except bungie's

Stud, you should try and branch out a little more. You always stay at the Multiplayer and Singleplayer end of here. Look at this site, there is a Library! If you like to read, there are many excellent stories to choose from, and I guess, if you didn't like those, you could make your own. You new members need to see the Halo Wars Forums in their entirety, remember there was a Forum before the game.

I never go anywhere POST anywhere but mutiplayer and general discussion, I dont even touch the single player part or anything doing with the campaign becuase I dont really like the campaign, I only beat it so I can say I could...and the team worked hard on it I might as well beat it.

but I am not really a new member anymore :/

but I do read in the library, but like a library Im quiet, I dont normally post in the library, IDK why I just dont, I have tried "branching off as you say but none of them are as active as the mutiplayer forum and mutiplayer is what Im about.

Honestly I sucked when I first started to write, with constructive criticism and help from other writers like OB, I got better and wrote Halo:Isolation, a very popular FF, of course I still have much to learn about good writing.

Writing is fun, especially about Halo, because there is so much mystery and things to be added. And of course the Library would appreciate another active member :)
