    Aloysius:We're seeing a huge increase in Warthog related posts. I'm going to be combining threads in to this one, so please post in here instead of starting up a new thread on warthogs.

    Here's the official line on Warthogs:

    Dave Pottinger, Halo Wars Lead Designer:
    "We're looking at how to fix the Warthogs. They are too good; we get that. Trying to figure out the right fix:)"

    Nice try but there will still be N00bs making thier on threads about haw that got thier but kicked by them. It could help though....

    I think it would be cool to do gauss at tech 4 - and add a new first level upgrade which is just a soldier riding shotgun with a rifle. It would give people a little more time to prep, the hogs can be beaten - its the build time that can't. though this doesn't completely solve the problem at maps with extra reactors at least the extra money and time would have to be spent for the gun upgrade.

    (if you can predict a hog rush or detect it early enough a badass man army can stomp it. but you have to know its coming well in advance.)

    This would mean hogs would upgrade to teir 4 and have a 100% damage bonus and a 100% health bonus

    I only agree with this because Hog rushing would decrease and if that happen, the game will survive.

I'm sick and tired of having to make more than 20 gauss hogs to kill an opponent. I think 10 gauss should be able to take out a base with fully-upgraded Rail Gun turrets.

    Changes I propose are as follows:

    - Increase strength of gauss on armor and buildings by 623%

    - Decrease Warthog production time to equal the production time of a Ghost.

    - Decrease cost of Warthog to 100 supplies each.

    - Gauss to be researched at tech 2, not 3.

    - Ability for 10 hogs to be pelicaned, not whatever it is now.

    No, no, no.  A strength increase of 623% is too low.  I propose a 1000% increase in Gauss damage.

    The hog should be able to attack at level 0. There should be one marine in the front seat. the hog's counterpart the ghost should have a damage boost. then people might use them. the chopper should take less damage in the begining from ramming. Hogs advance in power much much faster than the other scout vehicles. In the end they should be better than the covenant scouts, but not to the extent that they are. Hogs need to be better at lv 0 and worse at lv 3. When 4 hogs can take out 7 choppers with ease you should know that there is something wrong.
