Re: Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

Branko:Floo, i do not seem to see why you wish to continue even though your wrong, but i have not given up that you may see how stupid you are.
    uh huh...

Branko:Nothing to argue because you can not counter. If you remember this is a "what if" and the what if is if our modern military went up against the UNSC. And seeing as what i said above was in the games (as you wanted so dearly), it shows how much the UNSC kicks some serious ass. And if their weaponry were compared to ours, as well as theirs and our tactics, they would be vastly superior.
We're talking one super soldier. I excluded space in my first post, but even so the explosions bit is dumb because... what? You don't think our weaponery could take that crap down?

Branko:Again, you compar the ODST to the covenant and the MC. Because when compared to the MC, everyone seems like that. But without compaing them to their surroundings, compare them to the damned topic, our military, in which the ODSTs have numbers, weapons, and superior training on their side.
What, I'm not comparing them to anything. In the games they ARE R E T A R D E D. I can't help it if you have trouble making fun of their AI. dumb.

Branko:Compared to the MC, in which everything is a joke.
    again dumb

Branko:I really did, you are just to obnoxious to see.
Okay, let's say you did... so?

Branko:You have a strange way of making yourself look bad... Just keep reading it over and over, hopefully one day it will dawn on you just how ironic that is.
You still haven't looked up the word ironic eh? Dude, we're talking about an opinion. Me stating that the halo books are drivel deosn't mean they are, but it doesn't mean they aren't. I was telling you the argument strategy I used in this instance because I think you'd be better off chopping your thumbs off rather than reading halo books. Saying it rather harshly makes your statement look dumb, thinking that I didn't know what I was saying makes you and idiot.

Branko:An important thing about ODSTs is that they can be fighting the second they get out of a pod that came from outserspace. It is very relavent because not only could our military not compete with that, but it also provides new tactical areas for the UNSC, offering more room to outsmart their opponents.
I meant irrelevant because I said this!

floo9465:I would love to! I f u c k you not. I don't care if it kills me. Having the opportunity to go into outer space and then being dropped to the earth the the off chance of being burned alive on reentry is a life experience I would not mind dying for.
I'm not talking about being combat ready, I'm saying drop me from outer space mother f u c ker!

Branko:Well im sorry i have never heard this phrase before. But i was merely stating a fact. Seriously. If you say im a ***, your a *** for saying that. And alot of other things you have done can in turn be applied to you. Want to know why? Because this is the goddamned internet. Everyone who calls someone else something looks just like the thing they called that person.

Hope you get that through your thick head.

So i guess that 4 year old is smarter than you.

ok, lets get to the point here.

One super soldier who took freakin killed thousands and thousands of alien being and completed so many ops that out military would proclaim impossible to do.

And yes, i do not see an effective way to destroy the Hayclon-Class Cruiser that the Pillar of Autumn is. Namely it has so many meters of titanium-a armor, and the fact that we can only damage that with nukes. But since it would be attacking us on this planet, it would be unwise to set off a nuke on our planet.

And do not even say that we could send it to them in space. What would we send it in? The fragile NASA spaceshuttles? Those can be taken care of easily by the Pillar of Autumn.

Branko:Again, you compar the ODST to the covenant and the MC. What, I'm not comparing them to anything. In the games they ARE R E T A R D E D. I can't help it if you have trouble making fun of their AI. dumb.

How are they retarded? Compared to you playing the MC. AKA compared to the MC. And besides, this is not about the game mechanics and A.I.s that control the game units, it is about who would win. So stop straying off topic man.

Branko:Compared to the MC, in which everything is a joke.
    again dumb

    Your dumb.

Branko:I really did, you are just to obnoxious to see.
Okay, let's say you did... so?

Pointless... It is just stupid to try to make you see anything. You are too stubborn and can not admit that you have a flawed arguement, and a stupid one, and an irrelivant one, and ect.

Branko:You have a strange way of making yourself look bad... Just keep reading it over and over, hopefully one day it will dawn on you just how ironic that is.

I was devaluing your arguement by implying that you only read coloring books. But me saying that does not mean you do or dont. Im just saying i was using your same strategy. Now you look like an idiot. And that is where the irony comes in.

Branko:An important thing about ODSTs is that they can be fighting the second they get out of a pod that came from outserspace. It is very relavent because not only could our military not compete with that, but it also provides new tactical areas for the UNSC, offering more room to outsmart their opponents.

    That makes no sense whatsoever.

Off-topic. This is about UNSC vs Modern World. Not what you wish you could do u i d i o t.

You have a very thick head. I fear if you need brain surgery, they would not be able to operate because of it.

I know lame joke but still man... you just look stupid.

rofl. Very funny, you literally took the words out of my mouth (or keyboard?). I have refuted all your statemeants and more dealing with this topic. You seems to always post irrelivant things like "let me dropped from space" and the like. These do not have anything to do with our topic at all.

Dude, if you actually believe what you say, you may be dumber than paris hilton...

Seriously, i just hope you are a rather idiotic troll...

But seriously, seeing you like this, being allowed to live, makes me fear for humanities future if we let things like you to continue to reproduce...

And you saying all this is just like that one post about how i was a failure and everything. Another sign of deafeat if you ever took a psychology class. Or i believe you would understand better if i just said your being a sore loser.

But it will not work to piss me off. As i said earlier, it is the internet, and i dont give a rats ass what people think of me.

And i will always know i won this arguement, and you lost so hard that you have to act like a total sore loser.

But, if you have to lie to yourself just to sleep at night, go ahead. We all know the truth.

Just let me remind you, hiding the truth is like pleading innocent about not commiting a crime when there are hundreds of witnesses, lots of video tapes, DNA eveidence, and so many other things. Also, add a confession in there too.

Re: Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

Just to keep this thread on track...

I'm sure you guys already realize this but the vehicles in the Halo games are only made, i'll just say worse for the lack of a better word, because of gameplay balancing issues only. If the hornet or scorpion or whatever was able to move at it's true speed it would be stupid for  anyone not in a vehicle, who could barely shoot at the thing as it flies by. Or if the Warthog was heavily armored then all of the fun classic halo weapons wouldn't do a thing to them. Sure you can improve projectile weapons, but only so much, and the ones in Halo are all probably really high caliber. Armor alloys can also be greatly improved.  A simple pistol from Halo shooting at things made of today could probably go through thick metal plating like wood.

By the way the Halo books are all actually very interesting, and if you like the Halo universe, then a great read.

Re: Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

In all honesty... America doesn't stand a chance, you can't use the games as an actual reference as there is balancing issues, the UNSC marines are built around fast deployment, hence the odd shape of the scorpions turret so it could fit on a pelican, pelicans are probably the UNSCs largest advantage over the US, they can drop off troops, vehicles and supplies faster than a helicopter ever could and can survive being hit with rpgs and tank rounds, and that's without going into orbital superiority, ODSTs, spartanIIs, spartanIIIs and splazers

Branko: Ok, i could be wrong, i am just speaking my thoughts. But that does not change the fact that the future ODSTs and other military personal are better than ours.

Maybe not too far, but as YOU said, we are taling about now vs UNCS, not near future vs UNSC.

Not in the games. In the games I doubt the marines or ODST's are capable of locating their zipper to go pee.

That because they are not programmed to only the one brute on the arc can do that

Re: Halo Universe vs. the U.S.

Compared to everything that's been seen for the UNSC in each game(not HW), the U.S. alone would win, as long as everything equals out(from men and armor on the field).

Abrams(smaller target, heavier armor and main gun, can have two top turrets(50 cal. to a smaller version of a M-134)> Scorpion(smaller gun, larger target, one crew, 4 jump seats)

F-22>longsword(too large) and shortsword(too large), pelican, hornet...

Spartan's would easily die from an Abrams "pellet" shot.

AH-64D would own all ground vehicles. Same for the MLRS system. Pelican's would be swatted out of the sky by SAM's...

Now, the UNSC would win if we knew of every single vehicle and weapon in their arsenal.(EVERYTHING, we only know of about seven vehicles.), unless those too are like the current.

Against the whole world...the UNSC would be doomed...With combined assaults from Abrams, T-72s/80s, Leopard 2s, Merkavas, and every other modern tank out there...The only place that I know the UNSC could successfully land would be in France...(:P)....

Why do people always asked this? From our current knowledge, modern technology is hard enough for the current weapons of the UNSC...and there's never going to be a conclusion...unless it really happens....

Not to mention the big ass space ships they can muster to own the entirety of Earth. Lets see... in game... weapons and vehicles...

A spartan laser would kill anything...

A spartan can outrun just about anything (and i would doubt they would even get into that situation in the first place)... Especially later on in the war when they have super awesome Mark VI Armor.

They have ODSTs that drop from orbit and are ready for combat immidiatly, basically giving them a great advanatge of being able to deploy anywhere.

Oh, can SAM's shoots into outerspace? That is where the pelicans would be in a very very short amount of time.

this thread has been posted before, and it is stupid.

How could todays US army against the whole world army 500 years in the future. Remember that the people in the halo universe have been in this part of time and upgrade from what we have today, it's not like they would down grade the weaponry, and the population of the army would be huge, and if some how, the UNSC magically start to lose they can leave earth and we can't follow them at all.
