I'm pretty sure the Flood exists on every Halo, just contained.

In Halo 3, all the Flood went to the Ark, then the Halo ring was activated, killing all the Flood there.

So, does anyone know if there was any Flood that didn't go to the Ark.

Maybe some that were still on other Halos.

I know they could have the Flood reappear if they wanted to but maybe someone knows for sure one way or the other.

the ark was not ment to kill the flood

if u have played halo ce it says it was ment  to kill the floods food supply (humans and covenant) so the arks activation would have starved the flood of thier food so the forrunners could kill them easier

That may be true, but that would explain the halo rings blast radius of 25,000 light-years

but wouldnt the activation of halo kill any flood?

I am pretty sure that the Halo rings kill all sentient life forms but i'm not sure was to classifly the Flood as.

well i just wandered yeah, if it kills all sentient life does this include plants, trees even grass?

silly to say but flood worm like creatures infect these living organisms. so does halo kill all? or just anything that moves with a brain?

That is retarded.  The Halo Series is done. Bungie is discontinuing halo No more story. Yes there is ODST, however thas a prequal. Bungie said it is done with the halo series

    I respectfully disagree.

Just because Bungie has finished the Halo Trilogy, is no reason for the fans to conjecture and ponder what happened next. I have no doubt that their will be a few books will be released on the subject in the future.

As for the actual topic at hand, I'm pretty sure the Flood survived, with them in hibernation in Forerunner facilites across the galaxy. (It also looks like Installation 03 had been infected if you look at it holographic representation on 'The Covenant')

Yes but you could also argue that that's just the way the landscape looks, and might not be Flood Biomass.

SPQR! An ambitious historical project, coming soon. Check the Library for early version test writes. Recommended for anyone with a love of history.

    Re: Flood, alive or dead?

True, but I pretty sure they were held in hibernation for research in some facilites neither the UNSC or the Covenant have encountered.

Also, as I postulated in one of my stories, some of the Flood biomass likely remained on Installation 05.
