my idea before was that MC meets the 3 spartans from the spirit of fire. meh just a guess. 

There are 10 spartans on the SoF.  Mission 5:arcadia outskirts.  you can't forget omega group.

it explains it all in the series of halo books which have come out but they r done by different authors

and in the books it says that A.I.s only last for about 7 years

We could restart the discussion, but you really have to wonder how someone could dig up a thread like this a few pages back from the front.

On-Topic: My guess is that Serina located somekind of Forerunner artifact.

I don't think it could be the Halo 3 planet because that one was blue, and this one was orange.

BUT

I read in one of the Halo books [possibly Onyx], that the Covenant glassed some kind of star/sun thing, and it turned plasma blue, just like the planet at the end of Halo 3.

When Master cheif rescues cortana at the end of Halo cortana enters the fourth stage:

Metastability is a theoretical fourth stage of rampancy, where an AI can finally be said to be a true "person". While a metastable AI can be considered to be the holy grail of cybernetics research, there is no evidence to suggest than any rampant AI has ever achieved the metastable state, or that it is even possible to do so (with the exceptions of Cortana and Mendicant Bias).

So you see, Cortana can't go rampant because she already did, and reached the fourth and final stage

actually it is believed (although not confirmed) that gravemind was the one sending the chief all of those messages. Remember that the gravemind is incredibly persuasive and he knows that the chief's weak spot is cortana, so he tried to make the chief believe that cortana was already beyond saving. The chief ignored the messages and saved cortana, who is persuaded by the gravemind that she was rampant, and thats where the cutscene where chief takes her comes in.
