Really? I thought they did a pretty good job with the music...although I guess I do have one problem with it. As opposed to Marty's style of music that draws you in using powerful emotions and drama and such, the music in the trailer kinda just sets the pace for action and just gets you hyped up and excited. It's just a different style is all.

I thought they just took started with the Matrix sound and moved into the blackhawk down sound track.   Not to say I haven't watched a bizillion times.  Got to go, a bizillion just doesn't seem enough, going for the trilzillion look now :P

Who'll be doing the music for Halo Wars?  Will Marty O'Donnell be doing it in rock or will Ensemble Studios be uing the more classical music that it prefers in its games?  Anyone know?

The music that was put in the Official Trailer was done by Ensemble Studios themselves and not by Marty.

As to wether Marty might eventually compose any of the music for the game is yet to be told.

As for "classical music that is prefers in its games" maybe they did Classical because most of their games were set in ancient history and the middle ages and it wouldn't make sense to put heavy metal or similar current trends in music. You know almost every single song in Halo itself is produced using classical intruments anyway plus the whole "Gregorian Chant" for the actual theme. Lets give ES the chance to create some different music before we go classifying what they're good at and not.

Marty is doing Halo 3 music, I don't think hes working on this atm with the music, but im sure ES will put in some music that will rock alot.

As long as Marty's not doing the music, I'd just as soon they stick with something derivative of Halo, but not exactly Halo.

I realize that's exactly what they've done in this trailer, and I didn't particularly care for it. But something derivative but original, even if not quite as good, is still better than grafting the theme from another game on top of this one. Sure, it won't be Marty. But what is?

And don't say Tommy Tallarico. Seriously.

I think the trailer was great.The graphics and the music fit well, since it is before halo.Meaning the fall of reach ect, the theme music dosnt have to fit with the original game. Also if i can note, that the marine system they showed in the trailer was well put together. How they comunicated and every thing. And also the movements of the marines after the battle started, it all fit together like a puzzle.

IMO, the Halo Theme had way too much vibrato, otherwise the music seems to fit the time period. I hope something like Reclaimer gets in the game (Halo 2 Vol. 2) but thats just me

I thought the music was great, it added to the feel of the trailer, very well done.

Heavy Metal, enough said.
