every update makes me think that halowars is ALOT further into development than i previously thought.

Hey, if they are able to test in-game and hold tournaments, i'll have to say they are pretty far already with a year to go.  Like i said before, microsoft is probably trying to keep a lid on its since it's still only a year away for release.

Also, maybe Microsoft is keeping it hush-hush so as to keep all the current hype on Halo3, with the beta coming out and all.  Don't want to steal thunder from one of Microsoft's greatest assests, now do we?

stop con paring ES updates to bungies's its not a fair example one game is in early development and the other is getting ready for a public beta. you see the lopsidedness.

lol, u missunderstand us completely, IF u've read the bungie updates, we're talking about how frankie and the few other update guys can take very little real information and spin it to build hype

like lets say, im Thunder, been playing some of the halowars, and maybe recently, they tried out a new texture for the marine and its looking cooler, i might say something like "the textures in the game jsut keep getting better and better, I can't wait until we can show you guys"

see, fisrt off, it makes us think the whole game is getting graphically polished (tho really it was just the marines at this time) and makes us be like "omg....WHY CAN"T WE SEE IT NOW!!!?!?!?!?!....... damn, this is gonna be sweet"

    understand a little better now?

oooooh * feels like a dumb ass* Embarrassedok i got it i think it was i was just being rushed to read by my staff sargent cuz he wanted the computer and i misinturpited. next time i will be a little more careful.

glad to be back in the USA!!

Or you could stand up to your staff sergeant and tell him to screw himself.  Stick out tongue

(for the love of God, do NOT use the advice!!!)   XD

I think we should start a "recommended update" thread, so then Thunder konws what we want. Wink
Outside tripping in the broken city.
Outside kicking in the broken city,
    there's nothing wrong with that.

skita, did you read my longer posts here? i think they get the point across quite well lol

not to say an interview is bad, but an interview of this type (not focused on the game) should be used in compliment with other things

    Re: Halo Wars Update 04.19.07

I think it's pretty clear what you guys want, and I've certainly tried to rattle the chains on the cuffs that the marketing/PR flunkies have me wearing.  There were a number of questions cut from this interview, for example, that were related to the game.

As we get further along in development, we'll be able to talk about the game in some more detail.  Either way, we'll see what we can cook up for next month.

Locking this so that it doesn't tale spin.
