It has been said many times that the ending of Halo Wars sets us up (the gamer) nicely for a sequal. Well, I personaly find this to be true and un-true but only time will tell what happens with this game.

After doing some thinking about what Halo Wars 2 could have in store for us in terms of new content, I thought of something that seems highly logical. Apart from perhaps a map editor, and an increased population cap, new units, etc. I believe space battles are an obvious choice for an addition in Halo Wars 2.

You know how in Halo Wars, how the Covenant have leaders and the UNSC has economic and unit bonuses? Well, it would fit perfectly in the storyline if this was the opposite case in Halo Wars 2. Allow me to elaborate...

Many Halo Wars fans have read the Halo books. This makes sense because some of us are interested in the storyline. That said, those of us who have read the books know that the Covenant have a distinct advantage in space combat with numbers and better technology.

Well, what if the UNSC has leaders to choose from such as Captain Keyes? Admiral Cole? Commander Keyes? Each has their own leader power of some sort. Admiral Cole could have a MAC volley or something, I don't know.

That's just a theory that seems to fit with the storyline pretty well. And once again, it's a theory. I don't even know if there will be a Halo Wars 2.

    *Edit*

Another idea came to me. Instead (or in addition to) leader powers, they could have certain ships they use. Admiral Cole has the Leviathan, Captain Keyes could have the Pillar of Autumn (spelling?) and of course, Commander Keyes has the Forward unto Dawn (I think that's the name...) Hell, the Spirit of Fire could make a nice return with the great Captain Cutter.

Also, I am NOT saying that Halo Wars 2 should be just space battles. Star Wars: Empire at War had both space and land battles.

Halo Wars: The Chronicles of Master Chief...

    Errhhm just a theory

Maybe a few missions here and their but deffinetly not the whole game! Spartans fight best when on the ground hint: that is why most of the spartans died at the end of the first book (or should I say "MIA!") But it should contain most of the epic battles though! But they will continue the spirit of fires story since they left us wondering if forge actually did make it out or not or if the shield world actually blew up or just transformed! If they dont then they should focus the story line on the spartan 3's!!!

It does actually. If you've played Halo 3 then you know that Humans and Elites ally against the rest of the Covenent(Even more Cov are on your side in the end of Halo 2 if I recall.) So the whole humans and covenant working together thing does make sense. They CAN get along. Having a team of: Cutter-PoR-Flood vs Anders-Arby-Flood would make no sense. When have you ever seen a group of Flood and UNSC or Flood and Covenant working together? If anything, they would have to make the flood a rouge team and instead of whining over not being able to play them everyone would whine over that.

does anyone remember halo 3 the covenent the flood help you until the prophet dies

As long as I can play as a Covenant leader and glass a planet, space battles sound great. >:3

It has been said many times that the ending of Halo Wars sets us up (the gamer) nicely for a sequal. Well, I personaly find this to be true and un-true but only time will tell what happens with this game.

Spartan15: I don't quite agree with that statement above. I personally think that some games are best left alone and this seems to be one of them. The more they keep trying to add to the Halo Story, the worse things are going to get when it comes to selling the game. There isn't really anything you could add to Halo Wars 2 that isn't already in this game or Halo 1, 2 and 3 besides adding space battles but i couldn't see that happening.

Viper Skills: After doing some thinking about what Halo Wars 2 could have in store for us in terms of new content, I thought of something that seems highly logical. Apart from perhaps a map editor, and an increased population cap, new units, etc. I believe space battles are an obvious choice for an addition in Halo Wars 2.

Spartan15:  I don't think they will have Space Battles if they choose to make a sequal. It was said last year that MS had no plans on including Space Battles for Halo Wars and they didn't even mention creating a sequal to Halo Wars. Even though Halo is excellent and very popular i think it should be left alone now.

Viper Skills: You know how in Halo Wars, how the Covenant have leaders and the UNSC has economic and unit bonuses? Well, it would fit perfectly in the storyline if this was the opposite case in Halo Wars 2. Allow me to elaborate...

Spartan15: I'm just interested to know how you could upgrade having unit and economic bonuses if they are already in Halo Wars 1? If they did decide to create a sequal, i would imagine that everything would have to be upgraded but i can't see how they would get upgraded?

Viper Skills: Many Halo Wars fans have read the Halo books. This makes sense because some of us are interested in the storyline. That said, those of us who have read the books know that the Covenant have a distinct advantage in space combat with numbers and better technology.

Spartan15: Well you have to remember that not all the Halo Fans have read the actual storyline from the books. But yes, every halo fan does know about the Covenant's disadvantage. However their ships are a lot better than the UNSC ships.

Viper Skills: That's just a theory that seems to fit with the storyline pretty well. And once again, it's a theory. I don't even know if there will be a Halo Wars 2.

Also, I am NOT saying that Halo Wars 2 should be just space battles. Star Wars: Empire at War had both space and land battles.

Spartan15: Yes but i think it would make the game extremely confusing if you entailed both in there. Why not focus on just one form of battling?

I stand proud and dominant in the heat of a battle.

Re: Halo Wars 2? A theory...

Well really the whole galactic conquest thing was in star wars battlefront and had absolutly NOTHING to do with the star wars story but it was fun. Myself I would prefer to play a fun game rather then play a boring game where the story fit. If the story with the good game dont fit then it was still more worth my $60. Lastly I think that HW2 would need a map editor and no stupid gametype add-ons. DLC is cool but please dont make me pay $10 for freakin gametypes. thats my main conserns with the 2nd game. Just a map editor, more leaders and way better DLC. oh and just for those who dont know, “Ensemble” is now “Robot” so if you see that a company named “Robot Studios” is making HW2 thats why.

Halo wars legendary ending, after the credits serena says "captain, wake up, something has happened"

This does not gurantee a sequal. Tons of game developers do this so their fans can each hypothesize what happened and keep guessing. Like Halo 3 and the Legendary ending. Will there be a Halo 4? Nope.

Not a Halo 4 made by Bungie anyway.

I think there should be a map editor/ creator, a freemode where there are no recouce limits and no populatin cap (or at least increased pop. cap), clan support, new units, 8 vs 8 multiplayer on larger maps, splitscreen mode, more costomizable units with different color schemes, being able to pick wepons for your men (sniper rifles, smg, rocket launcher, spiker, etc.), and the otion to zoom in to the point where your right next to your men if there is a squil being made
There's too many stupid people in the world
