I made seven warthogs and took the to one side of the scareb and a couble of other warthogs to the other side. You also have MAC cannons avalable for use.

You can also take out these things called life supports witch are posted around the map. If you destroy one of these you will not get an achievment for taking out the scarab without taking out its life supports.

You need to tell us the difficulty.

You use tanks and the MAC cannon. Just like you destroy any other unit. Build two vehicle depots so you can build units faster, and then fill the base up with supply pads to get quick supplies. That way when your tanks die you can make new ones "fast" and you'll have money for the MAC. Or, if you want an achievement for not destroying any of the power nodes you can hang back in your base and only go with the MAC. It takes a while, but you get five gamerscore :P

on easy / normal mode you can just use the mac cannon, it doesnt take more than 15 minutes, you dont even need to leave your base,

 

otherwise, send 2 scorpion tanks along the east side of the map to kill the 3 power supplies, grab the 2 in the middle, then just spam more scorpion tanks to clear the west side of the map, then when the head is moving very slowly, just move a scorpion tank back and forward through the ray to keep the head at bay whilst you kill it, only takes < 40 seconds to kill on easy / normal with a few scorpions, on legendary its the same but you will need a few more tanks to go hunting for the power nodes and the head takes about 5 minutes to kill.

I agree with the heavy-weapons vehicles. If you want fast, responsive assaults, Gauss-Cannon Warthogs are best for maintaining assault on the head while you get more tanks en-route.
But, if you're seeking to finish the game more than getting achievements or secondary objectives, I recommend taking out the life-support power nodes first. It doesn't stop the head entirely and your base will NOT last forever or else there'd be no point in playing the mission because you could just go out, get drunk and wake up next day with a hangover and STILL be able to destroy it.

The best method to use is, for the power nodes, wait until you've got your base a little bit build up, and then take Forge around in his warthog to where the end of one of the lines reaches. From there, point a MAC shot at the power node until it is destroyed. Do that for the rest and eventually it's weapon effectiveness AND it's head speed should slow down, making it less responsive and less devastating, meaning you have a MUCH better chance at success.

Max Upgrade Warthogs.. Destroy the generators ASAP with suiciding 1 warthog and maccing them among just killing them with ur warthogs.. once uve got like 6/7 just spam the warthogs mac blast spam and warthog laz0r/nade spam and dart across the beam.. youll lose like one warthog each time you jump across.. keep your eyes on the banshees aswell. and the healbots.

Use soldiers and Kill Them all muhahahahaha.

Ride the Rocket

Make a bunch of tanks, destroy the power supplies, then devouer it. If your going for the achievement fully upgrade your mac cannon and chill at your base periodically shooting it with the mac.
