First off this game will kick ass. I have the faith. The only thing that seems worrysome to me is that this type of game usually bombs on console. hopefully a later release for the pc will be available possibly on vista ?? either way the devs are saying the controlls wont disapoint any ideas about the controller layout ?

I hope and prey to god that iw will come out for PC cause i aint shelling out for a 360 and a HD tv to play it on no way

I don't think it will bomb, because i have played Battle For Middle Earth on the Xbox 360 and the control scheme was very well done. As long as they do it along the lines of that game, they will be in good shape.

Battle for Middle Earth was awsome for the 360.  Why shouldn't HW be?

Lgood points I wonder how they'll include the mutliplayer features. Not with ive that obvious... but say a split screen mode ? perhaps it will be a co-op type gameplay as vs. on the same screen would be dumb i wonder if any such capability has been considered at all..

I think that if you are an avid Halo fan then you wouldnt mind selling yourself out for the 600 dollar premium 360. I would have bought one for it but i had bought one at launch, knowing amazing games like this would show themselves. As far as the scheme of the game, lord of the rings: battle for middle earth 2 was a smash hit, but other games took away the attention. I still get a lot of people to play with on lotr but if there is a launch of a better version concerning halo, it just sounds like the game of the year. i actually forgot all about halo 3 once i heard about this. i dont know if anyone else agrees but i would say Halo Wars is most deffinately going to take the attention off other games and into the world of halo RTS. i just cant wait to see how they play this great idea of theirs.

Dont worry. I have loads of RTS on computer, and CnC 3 and kanes wrth for pc and xbox. I agree that CnC was hard to conrtol on the xbox, the controls for Halo wars are pretty much the same. But this game was designed for the xbox, so even thought the controls are similar Halo wars is a console RTS, you would fins it strange to play on PC. I think playing CnC on xbox would feel the same as playing Halo wars on PC, They are designed for 1 console, and tryin to cross them creates confusion. Ensamble have done a great job at console RTS, its really easy to play unlike other console RTS.

 

All in all the controls and controling of units/resources/buildings is really easy, and you would have to be missing a hand to find it hard. Its really well done.
