I believe that they erase your character from the list & any mention of it on the front page and then they try to get everyone to ignore you.
It's the old shunning tactic. Hardly effective when there are about two-three other LFF's out there, and variety of things to do elsewhere on the web.
P.S. Omega... lay off with the self guilt. It's not completely your fault that the LFF's spiraled out of control. It's my fault just as much, for creating the Age of Conflict Series. Once those got locked and I stopped creating the sequels for people, they made there own.
Now I just tend to avoid them and work on my Fan-Fiction. Although I do drop by and say that "yes, it is okay for you guys to use stuff from my old LFF's and good luck to you." since invariably, a few aspects are borrowed. Plus I like to be polite.
