    Re: Why ES? WHY?!?!?

It exclusive to the 360 period...

Second ever play BFME2? it's for the 360 and works great on a console. It's funny cause before golden eye every one thought FPS couldn't work on consoles. Now there LOTS of great fps's on consoles. Soon we will see a similar movement with RTS's. With the release of BFME2 and halowars it will jump start RTS on consoles. Im pretty excited..

P.S it took halo Ce two years to come out on pc and halo 2 is comming out in early 2007 or more then two years since it was released on xbox. Expect the same for halo wars if it ever is to come on pc.

Because it is going to be a 360 exclusive there are going to be no control settings that they are stuck with. This means they are able to design it from scratch and wont have set expectations such as if they relaesed AOE or C&C. I think that they will concider releasing it on the pc at a later date but keep it 360 exclusive to get it out there faster so people can satisfy their Halo fix.

they better make this game for PC

I've been a fan of the Age of Empires games since the first one came out, I often still install it and play it like its new. I have the Aoe 3 and 2 im bought the collectors Aoe 3. When i heard of a Halo RTS i thought to myself when can i buy it and for how much. i didn't een care about looking at the trailers. But eventually i did and when it started i was amazed and i couldn't stop thinking how awsome it could be....... thats until the trailer ended and the Xbox 360 logo poped up.......................i was pissd off.............................RTS games are meant for the PC...............................wut a gimmick for Xbox 360...........................RTS sucks on Consols there terrible.   i hope ensembly studios will change there minds. and make it 4 both.

I also was pissed when I heard it was for XBOX 360 only.. But I know eventuatlly it will be for PC.  It may be 2 years but I can wait.  Only way I will play it on a console is if it comes with a keyboard/mouse.

    QFT.

They will realize they would miss a huge opportunity if they won't make it for PC. It will be out eventually, and everyone knows it.

Re: Discussion on game platform: 360 v PC

i like it the way it is. otherwise it would only run properly on a pc, because console portations mostly suck. this way it is developed for console and will run properly for sure.

most likely it will be out eventually.. but not 2 years ! Even a year is stretching, but is acceptable.. though i would prefer under a year...

I have to agree. Two years is too much time. It should make PC, thats for certain, but maybe 6-12 months would be reasonable....

    Re: Not for PC?

I must say that I was seriously dissapointed when I found out that Bungie/Ensemble/Microsoft announced that they did not intend to make "Halo Wars" for the Personal Computer. They are obviously trying to encourage Xbox360 sales, but at what cost? How much business are the willing to sacrifice due to the fact that many PC gamers will not get a chance at the stunning new game? I hope that the movers and shakers of this operation change thier minds along the road and include a PC launch. RTS games are typicalized in PC arena, as well they should be due to the complexity and demands of such a genre. I have faith that there will eventually be a PC launch somewhere down the road - after Xbox360 sales have been capatalized on, and hopefully this will be our (PC gamers) dream come true!

Re: Xbox360 Exclusive == Not smart for RTS games?

IT would be cool it there were a mouse and keypad relesed for the game. They could make a pack for like $100 with teh game adn the mouse and keyboard and that way they could have more games strictly for 360 cause of PC base.

Re: Xbox360 Exclusive == Not smart for RTS games?

yeah, but know one is gonna pay that much for a mouse for xbox just for an rts game. they should just release the game for pc. people arn't gonna buy xbox360 just for a single rts game unless it's mindblowingly amazing. and even then, i doubt microsoft will get the results they want from pulling a stunt like this. its only a matter of time before they realize they aren't going to sell a console-only rts. also, they would get a huge boost in sales if they released the game for pc at the same time as xbox because of all they hype the game is sure to get. I know there are tons of pc gamers out there who would buy the game the instant it came out, but once the game is out, it won't get the same kind of attention and sales.

Re: Xbox360 Exclusive == Not smart for RTS games?

Maybe they want it on just the 360, because that way they can make it more powerful than if they had to worry about people without top of the line PCs.  This way they know that everyone will be able to run it fine and at the speed it is supposed to run.
