Spark and Tangent aren't really insane, they're just doing their jobs. However, there was that one theory that Spark had a god complex.

dude, Petey is my homie (Petey = PT = Penitent Tangent) he'd never do anything like go insane

but yea, chances are, they are all very insane, including rampancy

like Cortana is most likely rampant because she was able to spend so much time inside Halo's computers, which furthered her degeneration

yeah i like petey better than guilty anyway. but yeah it said cortana's memory was really filled up with all the data she absorbed. and ever since she wasnt the same and was slowed down alot. really sucks cause cortana kicks ass.

Re: more speaks of 343 guilty spark

sure, he's alittle rampant, but he's still very knowledgable. if you were to ask him if humans are indeed forrunners, i'm sure he''d say yes (truthfuly).
the thing is, in halo 1, he assumed you knew that you were forrunner. he was confused. and for that reason, he came off as "insane".

actually he assumed u knew about the history of the halos

but we also don't know whether they would consider any covenant reclaimers

Unlikely, since they refer to them as "meddlers" or "other species."

they way i look at the covies being reclaimers. First in The Flood they talk about the other reclaimer, which was a human, then i look at all of the covenant that Guilty Spark could have chosen to be the reclaimer but he specifically only had humans doing it. I mean there were a hell of a lot more covies out there running around.

Re: more speaks of 343 guilty spark

another clue to the humans being the forerunners is that the chief and other Spartans always instinctively new how to use the forerunner technology and the strange froerunner markings in those tunnels on reach, it seemed almost familiar to them

Re: more speaks of 343 guilty spark

    god bless you...

Yea there is a thread where i had a bunch of evidence that humans were.

    Here is what i wrote....

Dmand's Unified Theory of Halo (DUTH).

    The forerunners were humans.

                 - There are several phrases GS says in the Flood that stresses the fact that humans are forerunners; or closely resemble. pgs. 238 - 257
                 - They had a similar battle armor structure. p 240
                 - in the German version of Halo it is translated as ""Im glad to see some of you survived and were able to reproduce."
                 - There are instances where John notes a familiarity to forerunner controls and navigational points. p. 84

The Rings have been activated before.

                  - GS says interesting phrases about how could John be hesitant about activating Halo when he has done it before. p. 257
                  - Again the German version has GS saying that he was glad to see the forerunners had reproduced.

Because the Rings have been activated before any Flood that exist must have been preserved, contained, or had hibernated.

                  - My theory is that they were but in a stasis/prison. p. 238- p257
                  - To disprove hibernation theory I point out that if they are able to "sleep" for 101,271 years. Then there would at least be Flood in more places then the Rings; Such as caves and deep recesses of planets. And since no known case is reported it is an assumption I don't make.

The Flood was then preserved for future study.

                  - That now infamous quote states that the installation was built to study and contain. p. 238
                  - This makes sense; there are many dangerous viruses and diseases that we keep around so that we learn from.
                  - If they are human then they would share the same curiosity that we have and want to know how they operate.
                  - Many useful medicines and antidotes come from dangerous and deadly animals and fungi.

The Forerunners never made it back to the Rings.

                  - This is very obvious because it had been 101,217 years since the activation of the Rings/presence of Forerunners. Inferred from Quotes found on pgs 238 to 257.
                  - There is a lot of debate as to what had happened to them. One I approve of is the Forerunners had a sheild world on Earth with the ARK; And similar to Noah's Ark. It held all that was needed to start life again. So they decided to stay on the shield world.

Why Humans have bad Technology compared to our forerunner ancestors.

                 - Well, similar to the Biblical Flood, life started over with only animals. Most advances not remembered were lost.
                   - Perhaps the Forerunners that survived had lived a life of war and violence and they wanted to start fresh. So as with many "plane crash on abandoned island" stories go. They start a socialist way of living and come up with an idea of god and creation to hide the true roots (Much like the move The Village) and this story became what earthlings would believe as the way things began.

Why some shield worlds do not have Forerunners/humans.

                  - Perhaps the forerunners did not need those shield worlds.
                  - Maybe their shield worlds did not always work.
                  - Or they did not want to leave the peace already present in the shield world.
                  - Sentinels killed them by accident (not my favorite)

If the Forerunners activated the Halos then why is there other races, especially if they were human.

              - Just like the Ark contained all animals ever created so to do the ARKs. They held every creature that was under man. It is evident from the game that there is something missing from all the species created. In all races of the covenant there is something that is missing from each race whether it be physical or mental or both.
