Tis the season...
Every year here at Ensemble Studios we send out a holiday card to our friends, family, and those who’ve helped us out over the past year. The card is put together by a select artist from here at the company and usually reflects the work that the company is currently doing. This year's card was created by Ensemble Studios artist Brett Briley, and features a peaceful scene for the holidays. We would like to share the image and the sentiment with you all this holiday and are offering this new desktop background:

The Ensemble Studios holiday party was held on Friday, December 9th. As part of the pre-party festivities, the team took time off from their daily Halo Wars playtests and got together for a 4v4 Halo 2 tournament...to celebrate the season, by talking smack and virtually killing each other. After getting behind early on, the red team stormed back to take a commanding lead, winning the final game with a rocket launcher shot for punctuation. The photo below shows the winning team of Matthew Goldman (Art Director), Nick Currie (Playtester), Stephan Lebrun (Programmer), and Brad Robnett (Programmer). Congratulations guys! The runners up, who did give them a good run for their money, were Alex Scott (Artist), Brian Dellinger (Playtester), Chris Moffitt (Artist), and Bill Jackson (Producer).

It’s always exciting for the team here to see the launch of a new fan site, especially from the guys at HeavenGames who’ve been amongst Ensemble Studios’ biggest supporters over the years. Check out the latest addition to their network, Halo Wars Heaven. There is already a fan fiction contest going on over there, and I’m sure Watchwood and the Heaven team will have plenty of coverage on the game in the months ahead.
You'll be hearing more from us in the New Year. Until then, best wishes and happy holidays from Ensemble Studios!
