Chapter 3: We're all Heritics
As we exited slipspace; I kept thinking, How could this all have started? I mean idiots would come up with this stupid religon? Maybe humans aren't the only stupid ones around here. After we exited slipspace; I looked out what appaerd to be a window; I can't tell what anything is around here.
"Shipmaster; incoming transmision from home base!" an elite shouted
"Patch it through" Zannabar had said
Just then, a hologram appaered in front of us.
"Greetings Captain Zannabar, welcome home. We were begining to think that you died. Hey Quen! I owe you 50 quads!"
The trasmition ended there.
"Some friends of yours?" Tyler asked
"That was Zen. He is my best comrade. We have our bets now and then about completed missions and whether will live or not" Zannabar replied
"If that's your friend, I can't wait to meet your enemies" Tyler answered
"Don't worry, you will" Zannbar said
"What do you-" He stopped me mid sentence and pointed outside. There was over 50 alien ships outship of the base. We heard a transmition from one of the ships
"Heritics! Give up now, and your deaths will be swift!" an elite had shouted
"Who was that?" I asked
"That was my older brother; Hannabar.
"WHAT!!" We all shouted in unison
Maybe it's time I tell you more about my past" Zannabar started
"I was once the former commander of the ship Shadow of Intent; fighting all those who opposed the prophtes. Me and my brother fought hand in hand, making sure the Great Journey was unopposed. Then one day, when I was leading a raiding party on a Heritic base; I meet Zen. We had a duel, and he bested me. Instead of killing me, he showed me the truth of the 'Great Journey'. I tied to tell my brother; but his pride was in the way.
"Zannabar? you'll still alive? I tought the weight of Heresy would have brought you down to hell by now" Hannabar said
"Nice to see you again too" Zannabar replied
"I only give one warning; surrender now; or per-" Zannabar turned off the transmition.
"Zen, tell the warriors we are leaving" Zannabar said
"By your word Shipmaster" Zen replied
"What! You can't! You'll be killed! Mary shouted
We'll be killed if we stay here" Tom replied
"So, whats the plan?" I asked
"All ships that make through slipspace will meet with the rest of the fleet at Ran' runn." Zannabar said
"Wait! I have a better plan!" John shouted
"Do you have any thing that can transmit a signal without being detected?" John asked
"Yes; what are you thinking human?" Zannabar asked
"Just trust me"
Zannabar took him to some sort of comupter thingy; and John went to work. Within a minute he said he was done.
"What did you do John?" I asked
"Well, I sent out a fake distress signal saying they need immedintant reinforcements to location A5487-A3267" John said
"But; that area is a black hole" Tom said
" I know" John replied, with a little smile. And that is why he is our hacker
"Alright; back to business" Zannabar said " The ships will relize that they heading for a black hole in 30 minutes, so we don't have much time"
Just then I remembered something.
"we have to go to Reach" I had said
"Why Reach? It's so far away from here." Tom said
"I said we're going to Reach, and thats an order!" I shouted
"Sir, yes sir!" Everyone shouted. I normally don't have to do that, but it was necesarry.
"Zannabar, can you take your fleet and us to this location?" I asked as I typed it into the computer.
"Of course, may I ask why?" Zannabar asked
"I'll tell you when we get there" I told him. This was so importnat right now. Command had something that might give us an edge to this war. As we entered slipspace, I kept wondering; is it too late?
Sorry for long wait; and even worse chapter. I just wanted chapter 4 to stand out more. And i also promise that chapter 4 will be awsome, so i hope this chapter doesn't ruin it for you(or me)!
