Chapter 1 Second Day is always Hell

Lt. Bradley had only been on this Ring for two days and he didn't like it. He had been patroling non stop and had almost collasped from exsution the other day. Now he was sent to a location that look like a Covenant camp. The pelicans engines roared as it crashed to the ground. "Hang on" yelled the pilot. When Lt. Bradley had finally awakened two hours had ggone by. "Where the f*** am I" he siad. He looked around and saw that nobody had survived the crash. He picked up his Assault Rifle and checked his ODST suit. No damages. He sprinted up to a rock and found the Covenant Camp was deserted. Only there was bodys on the ground. If the UNSC had sent soldiers here and killed them they would have found us he thought. He pushed on and found a opening to a cave and walked down it. He pushed on intill he found the body of Cpl. Hendrix. His body was completly mutillated. "Oh, s***, the flood" Lt. Bradley said. He took off running and Cpl. Hendrixs body got up and Lt. Bradley put a burst of fire in it and it fell over. "Whew" exhaled Bradley. He turned around was met with a horror. I wave of Infection forms crashing on top of him. Screams came out put nobody ever heard them. After a few seconds, he couldn't feel anything and all he wanted to do was sleep. Just sleep. Then everything got queit.

Chapter 2 Ring of Fire

John had just opened his MRE when plasma fire washed over the walls of the room. John quickly acted to the shots by picking up his BR55 and fired some rounds into the hall.  "John get out here, the Covenant launched a surprise attack" yelled Cpl. Heal, John's best friend. John ran outa of his room and saw a hunter charging at him. All of a sudden, a fusion coil exploded and the hunter fell dead. "Well that was pretty easy", John said. "Come on, John, we got to go" said Cpl. Heal. They both sprinted down the hallway and lept into a fairly large room with its blast doors closing. John and Heal looked up and saw Lt. Commander Dense ordering some marines to barricade the door. "Sir, what the hell is going on" asked John. "Well the Covenant Grueillia fighters force found us and since we don't have enough soldiers here were giving them a Goodbye gift". The Lt. Commander pointed over to a 20,000 pound bomb rigged with C-12 and other smaller bombs."Holy s***", exclaimed Heal. The marines finished barricading the door and the engineers finished wiring the bomb to go off it five minutes. "That should give us enough time to get outa here," said one of the engineers. The marines, Lt. Commander and the engineers took off down the hallway. "Son, way arn't you comin with us" asked the Lt. Commander. "Well I am making sure this bomb goes off," answered John. "God be with you" siad the Commander as he sprinted down the hallway. When the barricade was destroyed the pelicans, with the exception of one being shot down by Brute Anti-Air, were well out of the range of the base. The brutes poured in and surrounded John. The Brute Cheiftian walked over and picked up John and snarled in his face. "Will make sure you never acivate this ring or harm our colonies" John said as he spite in the face of the Brute Cheiftian and started laughing. The Brute Cheiftian went to rip John in half but a gaint explosion stopped it. After JOhn couldn't feel anything, he knew, even if he was dead, that the marines succeded. End of chapter two.

Chapter three coming soon and some of the chapters will mention people from past chapters as this story continues and the sentinels will make an appearence(Only a small one because of the marines HINT, HINT)

Freeman had to do this. If he didn't he'd die. Freeman dived into a hole and hid. He didn't like hiding, but it was the only thing he could do without dieing. Some brutes scurried past and stop. "Pack listen up, some anxouis humans opened and released the flood. We quantianed the area, but a human ship made it in and crashed. Two human soldiers wearing black armor made it inside but were infected. The Chieftan wants us to go and help hold the line," said the brute captain. "This explians why the brutes went after Command Post Charlie, to get the 20,00 pound bomb and seal the door way", Freeman thought to himself."and it also explians the fewer brute patrols and attacks" he also thought. He got up and sprinted for a nearby mongoose. As soon as he was on he was going full speed. The brutes shot at him and missed.

 Three hours later.

  Freeman pulled into a marine makeshift outpost that was to hold survivors of Command Post Charlie. "Soldier, I need to see the Lt. Commander" asked Freeman. "I need some authorization, theres been URF activty in the area and we don't won't to take any chances" the marine answered. "I'am Captian Brent Freeman of the 7th Marine Battilion" said Freeman as he showed his identification papers. "Go right in" said the marine. "Lt Commander" Freeman said as he stood at attention. "Yes?" asked the Lt. Commander. "Sir, I have reason to believe that the flood have been unleashed". "Show me your proof" the Lt. Commander asked. Freeman got out his voice recorder and played it. "Well this bad" said the Lt. Commander. "If you think this is bad, wait intill you here this".

Plz comment. I am also changing the name of the FF(Halo: The Defense of Halo 7)and the first two chapters were not centered or even mentioned Freeman but were needed to show parts that are needed to make this story make sense later.

You need to use more pronouns, saying their names so many times just makes it seem childish.

You have a great plot, and a different way of telling the same story we've all heard, so keep it up

Pronouns seem to hurt most fan-fics, so try to fix that and then you'll have something

"Soldiers listen up, some anxouis humans opened and released the flood. We quantianed the area, but a human ship made it in and crashed. Two human soldiers wearing black armor made it inside but were infected.

Command wants us to go and help hold the line," said the brute captain. 

I don't think Brute captains call their underlings, "soldiers."

Also, I'm pretty sure they would say the Council or Prophets instead of Command.

I don't think Brute captains call their underlings, "soldiers."

Also, I'm pretty sure they would say the Council or Prophets instead of Command.

I think they'd call them "meat" or "dinner" or "flesh" even.
