    Re: Signature Help/Request/Discussion Thread 1.7

Hey Krazy, do you mind making me another sig. The one you gave me before is awesome and all it's just that times are changing and I need a new one, jk, it's just that i've had this one for about 5 months.

I have total confidence in you. All I want is an elite in the picture, not a Spartan. And if you could put my name somewhere so that it is noticable but does not stand out before the picture.

Krazy, how did you get that render to be so sharp? I tried doing that Iron man sig and the render was blurry as all get out. Oh well. Capn Qwerty I can work on that hornet sig for you. I like one of the screenshots so I will work on that later tonight.

    Re: Signature Help/Request/Discussion Thread 1.7

    never use the sharpen tool

always Render > sharpen > sharpen

    it works wonders

    Re: Signature Help/Request/Discussion Thread 1.7

Ill have to try that next time.

Capn Qwerty, here is your signature. I randomly picked the color. I really don't know what colors you like and don't...

    Capn Qwerty

Remove the * at the end of the code.

Also, on a side note. CPO Pieman. I know you are just trying to help out, but IMO the way you make your signatures is a little strange. Many people don't like having the image distorted/smudged. In some tutorials you do have to use the smudge tool, but you normally can't tell because the render of what you smudged is right on top.

When you work on the next signature, try cutting out the focal point of the stock image, such as Iron Man and the Lamborghini. Then paste it into a new layer. Then work on blending the renders by smudging the background. Leave the renders alone. Many people like to have a clear render in the signatures.

I am not an expert on GIMP, but all I can do is direct you to some tutorials. http://www.pixel2life.com/tutorials/gimp/ This website has a large selection of GIMP tutorials that you can use. They shouldn't be that hard to follow. Tutorials is how everyone learns, it's how I learned to make signatures.

    Re: Signature Help/Request/Discussion Thread 1.7

I made a few renders of ODST units. I decided that I would give it a try just for the heck of it. I think I did a good job of it. I took all the screenshots myself, and did all the cutting myself.

Click on the image to see the larger version of it, and the actual render. Please feel free to use these in your signatures. That is why I made them. Also, any comments are welcome.

    Re: Signature Help/Request/Discussion Thread 1.7

Yeah, the screen shot really wasn't that Hi-Res. The heads where really blurry as you may have noticed. Which caused me to have to guess where to
    cut.

EDIT: Also, KrAzY, everytime I try to add a PNG render to a signature, it always has a black background instead of being transparent. Ive been having to use the magic selection wand and get it all out, but is there an easier way? A lot of the C4D Renders are slightly transparent and when I add it to a signature you can tell it was on a black background before.

    Re: Signature Help/Request/Discussion Thread 1.7

dunno about that... ive never had that problem...

make sure your rendering on a second layer... and just hide the first layer... see if that works

    Re: Signature Help/Request/Discussion Thread 1.7

Can you copy/paste or do you have to save the PNG.

    This image for example.

when I paste it into my Photoshop canvas, I get this.

I haven't tried saving the PNG and then dragging it into the canvas. Is that what you would do?

EDIT: Nevermind I answered my own question. I wasn't saving the PNG i was just trying to copy and paste it.

Wow, the bottom one looks awsome!

Good job on the Hornet sig ^_^ I'll add it to my cycle.

Sig names for sig makers: KrAzY (or "Not KrAzY") is King; leafyownu2 is Lord; CPO Pieman is Prince; En-Tee is Emperor; newguy is Parvenu; Royale is Royale (best I could find).

If I forgot someone, and you would like a Sig Maker Title, let me know.

If I gave you one and you would like it removed or changed, I will remove/change it.
