The solution to pc vs 360 RTS gameplay

Ok I was thinking everyone complains about how much better RTS games are on the pc then console and i can agree hot keying and everything it just makes multi tasking so much faster and well i was thinking. Microsoft does computer stuff and console stuff why don't they just make a keyboard and mouse and slap the 360 sig. on it and call it the 360 mouse and keyboard it would make the rts play on it so much easier and they would probally have more people switching to the 360 to actually try out some of these new games coming to the shelfs especially since halo wars is suppose to be "exclusive" for the 360.

I'm expecting to get some responses like will then it will just be like a computer... wrong you can play an RTS game with your key. and mouse. then just unplug and go to playing your fps halo 3 if you want its perfect why wont they do it is the question.

There is already a keyboard for the 360, however it is mainly for chat purposes I think.

then they would have to revamp the controls they put 6 months of their lives into and make it for the keyboard and mouse and every body will be pissed cause the only way to play is with a keyboard and mouse/    it will be exactly like pc how are u going to play halo3 with a keyboard and mouse bungie would have to re release the game and put the keyboard controls on it so it makes it pointless because everyone will have to redo everything... WHAT THE *** DID U DRINK??? ACTUALLY PUT THOUGH INTO THINGS

Sorry bud. It was built ground-up for the console, and therefore the 360 remote. You didn't HONESTLY think that you were the first to think of this, did you?

What most people complain about here, erroneously, is that a port to PC would dilute the gameplay, because you would have to tweak it to make it work with a mouse and keyboard.

    Lethe:

Then you should be pretty happy with the game; it's a lot of fun.

Relax. They'll port it over to PC eventually.

In the meantime, we'll be enjoying Halo Wars... on time.

    Lol says who?

Also it wouldn't take 3 months to add in controls for keyboard and mouse, it would take 6-8 months considering it took around 1 year for them to get the controls settled for the 360.

It's not a simple thing of adding extra buttons to control stuff. You have to re-program basically everything, as everything in one way or another is effected by the controls. Then there are bugs and errors that would occur which would slow things down even more.
