    Mods/Devs 3

    Okay, they closed the first two, but third times the charm.  Please do not spam or go off topic.  Thats what closed the other two.  This is where you can ask mods and devs questions and have them answer.  This thread is for nothing else.  Also, make the questions apropriate please, dont ask something that will get this thread closed too.  Thats all I'm going to say, so start asking away.

    May i add, don't ask stupid things, things you know they won't answer..such as "release date" or stuff that you're pretty sure they can't tell us, like the campaign plot

    And the original point of the thread was to get to know the mods and devs, not the game..

    And another thing, don't try to back them into a corner on something

    wow this one didnt hit it off so well anyways i had a question for the mods, If you could do anything to halo wars what would it be?

    dear mods, i'm inquiring about the eficiancy of the private message feature. do you know about how reliable it is? i ask because i am making a quiz (see the official halo trivia quiz signup thread in the haloverse section.) where the participants have to respond with answers within five minutes via private message. i will test it out myself, but i just want to be sure all of the messages will get to me on time. i don't want to disqualify someone because of network connection failure or something. also, if it's possible, could you be sure to close that thread about 2 or 3 days after i post the results? i want participants to have time to discuss the results, but i don't want it to go off topic.

    Mods, out of all the AoE and AoM games you made, do you think Halo Wars will be your favorite?

    As far as I know the PM system works well. Though there may be a bit of a delay from when a message is "sent" to when it shows up in an inbox. Five minutes should be enough, but you may want to extend it to 10 to be sure. Also make sure you refresh your inbox page when awaiting messages.

    Keep it all in fun and on the topic of Halo and you should be ok.

    Age of Mythology holds a special place in my heart since I spent so much time working on it. Also I really enjoy the mythological aspect of the game. 

    But I am a big fan of sci-fi and am intrigued at the Halo lore Bungie has created, and our team is building on.  I am trying to keep myself in the dark about the the HW story, so that I am not tempted to leak any of it, and to have it all be new to me the first time I play through the campaign.  So there is a good chance that once I start playing a lot of HW , that it could become my favorite.

    Well I was wondering, Do you think halo wars will be a big hit considering it's not going to be on a pc? And do you know if it will have that "sticky cursor" like in C&C3? Cause I thought that was pretty cool following units w/o moving the controller into battle was cool.

    I hope this would not be considered intruding, but i'm curious.  How closely is Bungie working with the game?

    I wouldn't be surprised if you couldn't answer that.  ^_^

    Ah, ok.  *Ahem, Mods, what is your favorite race in the haloverse?  Not at a strategic power standpoint, but lets say the campaign is like BFME 2 where theres a good and Evil side.  Would you rather play as the UNSC or Covies the first time?

    I do think it will be a big hit, no matter what platform its on. As for details about the controls, I will leave that sort of question for designers to answer when they are ready.

    I can not answer in much detail, mostly since I am not directly involved. Though I can say they have seen the game several times in development, and I am sure they will see it at least a few more times before before it launches.
