I once bought a game called Overlord.

You get to play an evil overlord of darkness.

And your first enemies are hobbits. (Halflings.)

They even make the little houses look like Hobbit Burrows.

It was sooo much fun to incinerate, smash, kill and pillage them.

Its funner in Conquest because Sauron sends them flying 20 feet into the air when he hits them with his mace.

You know... I could knock 'em almost 40 feet.

And I got nifty spells and small horde of goblins. (I'm telling you, they paradied everything tolkien in that game.)

    Re: Just an idea

I played Overlord, they only went flying about 5-10 feet, and Sauron isn't a *** that needs Goblins to fight for him.

You obviously hadn't buffed up your mace.

And Sauron was a giant floating eyeball for over a millenia. (And he had hundreds of thousands of orcs to fight for him.) Scary orcs yes, but they still fought for him.)

Well most of his powers were in the ring, if he made another body it would have been terribly weak, (yes he had the power to make another body.)

Technically Sauron wasn't the Eye, nor was he the Mouth. A fragment of his soul was encased in the Ring, but that was only a half. He existed, but not in a corporeal form. Before he returned to Mordor and rebuild the fortress of Baradur, he existed as a Wraith, more or less, in the fortress of Angmar. There the elves of Mirkwood reffered to him as the Necromancer, until Angmar was besieged and he was driven back to Mordor.

He still existed in this shadow, spirit-like form in Bardur, but extended a segment of his conciousness into the Eye of Sauron in the year 2951 of the Third Age. In this omnipotent form, he was able to extend his "sight" over most of Middle Earth, as well as convey his will to his servants through the Mouth of Sauron.

So...Yeah, I think he's cooler than the Overlord.

Wow.... Spam much? Back on topic.

I think you could add grunts, as per Boot's reasons :D

I have that game. It was an amusing distraction for a few days.

The seven Heroes represent the seven deadly sins, just so you know.

Sauron is much cooler as well.
