jackalo: l Slayer l: Religion was made to cope with the unexplainable, and Death.
its pointless.
If it makes the people following it happy its good, I'd much prefer to be religious but I just can't.
But then there is the idiots that try to push their beliefs onto others and condemn people for not believing the same as them and who are completely ignorant and brainwashed and deny things like the big bang theory and evolution purely because of ignorance.
And then there is the wasting money that could be used for more useful things and then there is the extremists.
I don't "condemn" people for not believing what I do. I'm not "brainwashed".
You see, YOUR belief is in evolution and the big bang.
MY belief is in God.
YOU cannot seem to understand that my faith is in God, not physical nature. One of the limitations of science is that it can only be applied to the physical world, not the spiritual one that God resides in. Therefore, he cannot be proven false, OR true.
Another limitation of your "science" is that the universal nonexistence of something is impossible to prove.
Say that you're trying to prove that a creature called the elephampottomus didn't exist. Not only would you have to disprove ALL personal reports of the creature by supposed witnesses, but you would ALSO have to prove that the thing did NOT exist ANYWHERE else in the universe at ANY time.
In order to do these things, you would have to be both omniscient and omnipresent...and only God Himself has these qualities.
Therefore, with both Him and His presence being completely nonphysical and yet unable to be proven real, your "science" is rendered utterly mute.
