AC Matt Klassen:What happened in between Halo Wars and Halo 1? Cause if the UNSC had tech like Hawks/Wolverines/Cobras/Plasma Rhinos/Grizzlies/Vultures/Cyclopes... WTF? Did the Generals/ONI decide that this badass stuff was too expensive/took to long to complete that they stopped research and basically took the lives of billions of people?
Hawks - Quite simply, never let out of protypte stage.
Wolverines - I'm sure they had Wolverines. It's an exact mirror of our AA vehicles that we have today for the most part. The fact is, MC was always in special forces missions for the most part with little to no air assaults from light air like banshees on solid ground. There was no need to mobilize Wolverines in most battles in the Halo games.
Cobra's - See Wolverines. I'm sure they used them. However, they were probably used to defend fixed bases and such on the more inner colonies and such. And more likely, they didn't have the time to release such slow moving vehicles in a special forces combat zone that you oh so often partook in. Warthogs were much better, and when you did need a giant vehicle tanks did a great job. I'm sure Cobra's were used--just no need in the Halo trilogy. There was no use.
Plasma Rhino's - Would break canon. It was put under the excuse of Anders protype crap and never got out of said prototype stage.
Grizzlies - Forge's personal idea, lost schematics when he died in the supernova. Not to mention as poster before said, no raw materials and probably a waste of money. Just like it is in-game...
Vultures - Refer to general concept of Cobra's and Wolverines.
Cyclopse - Horrible ingame and horrible in reality. There is little use for these monstrosities. Spartans do everything better, and AI computer machines do the healing part greater too.
Aloysius:
-Less than half a of percent of players have the General rank on Xbox Live.
How is the General rank fair again?
Halo Fanboys. The next most annoying thing next to Jonas Brothers fanboys.
