    Boosting Serious enough to...

Lets see what you all think!

Fact: The only way to really get rid of Boosters, and I mean 100% get rid of them, is to keep trueskill because trueskill works wonders(Not Sarcasm), and DELETE the leader board by TS feature.

    Supporting evidence:

Gears of War 2 has TS -

No TS boosters in Gears, alot of games are competitive

If people want to see what rank they are, they go to GB and compete there for leaderboards.

There are boosters in Gears, but they boost Points, aka Lvl 100 Glitchers. This doesnt change who you match up with though

When TS was shown with there 5 rank TS system, people DID boost TS

    Halo 2 had EXP -

Boosters all over place when leaderboards were up

Bungie Deletes MM Clan Matches, because clan EXP showed as Primary EXP, caused less boosting

Bungie then deleted MM Leaderboards online, (in game leaderboards never existed), caused less boosting

However EXP was always shown, so people would just sit in parties and invite all to show off rank, I believe if they took that away then boosting/modding/standby would have died. Almost died for Gears 2...

    So for Halo Wars!!

Remove In Game TS Leaderboards for all playlists, keep Wins Monthly, Leader Wins, Wins Lifetime, and Campaign stats, and remove TS Leaders. Maybe even add in "Time Leaders", like Who played the most this month via time to the minute or second, and who played the longest in there career. ---> Since TS Leaderboards are gone AND TS is NOT Shown, I believe there would be no Boosters. I cant think of one reason why people would boost ...? Can you?

ALSO doing this makes people not care about there TS, which makes people play there primary playlists more. I am sure Top Players, would play there favriote playlist more, since they dont risk losing there spot on the Leaderboards, all they risk is losing the game. So it causes more people to play on primary accounts, since there is no reason to make secondary accounts so you dont loose rank. And now the players are all playing on higher TS, so TS Works again.

If people want to see what they are ranked, they can join GB, or some popular online LeaderBoard Competing site, that permits people to do this.

So in essence MM would be more competetive, and people who want to show rank of, can join GB and try to climb the ladder there. Which is not controlled by Microsoft, and is instead controlled by a 3rd party company who specializes in Leader Boards.

However, this is only possible if everyone thinks thats how bad boosting is, Is it bad enough to remove TS Leaderboards, or just keep them and let FGs have bragging rights and not allowing the real pros to be in the #1-15 spots.

I say, Sacrifice Leader Boards, and move on. DELETE THEM!! Let MM become more competetive because lack of "FEAR" of losing RANK. Let TS work without leaderboards, and revive competitiveness.

    Oh! This is @ Aloy

With a Leaderboard delete, the TS must be reset again in order to delete booster TS, and allow people to reclimb, and get back into competitive games.

    Post your thoughts plZ!!!

If you support this idea, post it into your sig too!

    "Delete the Leader Boards!"

    I guess that works.

    People will still boost though.

Honestly the halo 3 system is the best true skill system, people hate it because it is hard to level but it shows true skill. The true skill system in this game encourages boosting more than halo 3 does. Here is why: In halo 3 a lvl 49 goes in with a lvl 1. The party skill would be lvl 44. In this game if a 49 goes in with a 1 the party skill would be a 25. thats why it is so much easier to boost in this game, you lvl faster when you boost. Also the skill system in this game just sucks, like if you fight lvl 1's you get no exp. but in halo 3 if you fight lvl 1's it boosts the experience you get because it not your fault for getting matched up with low lvls.

Are you kidding me? It's so easy to boost in Halo 3 to 50 it's ridiculous.  90% of 50's in that game are boosters.

I understand, but there is no way to stop boosters, the only thing to do is balance it out so if you boost it doesnt give you a huge advantage if you boost, like in h3 you only get a small advantage boosting. That is why h3 has legit 50s, in this game it is near impossible to get a legit 50.

So ... To join Gamebattles I have to create a team? Or can I join this leaderboard without a team?

    Re: Boosting Serious enough to...

Why would people boost if there is no leaderboards?

There is NO WAY to show your TS to your friends, and there is no way to check if you are number one in a playlist. You will just have your real TS, playing against peoplearound your level.

Halo 3 also works cause there is no leaderboards.

Lazy, this is way over the community's head. you are suggesting, in essence, that we all cut off our e-peens. what would we have left to whip out and show everyone?  ( note that i agree completely with you, but it seems a bit of an excercise in futility to try and convince everyone)

    Re: Boosting Serious enough to...

Here is the thing though Golden, If everyone cares as much as they say they do about boosters, then leader boards being deleted means nothing at all. But if they care about leaderboards being deleted, then boosters are not a problem.
