    A Halo themed Empire at War would be awesome.  I loved playing that game.

    that would be a feature

    plus, when you build your space station in a new system, you can build more than one in a small area

    the station would first just look like the ring part of a Mac station

    then it could be upgraded one of 3 ways

    1. Defense Station-Mac station-self explanatory

    2. Shipyard- Adds facilities to construct ships, also comes with auto cannons for self defense

    3. Amory- like the Field Armory in halowars- lets you purchase fleet wide upgrades.

    covenant would have something just about the same

    Cool, but about your own ship those upgrades come up in the galactic menu right?

    yes, your upgrades would be chosen on the galaxy map screen, and they would only change when you want them too

    normal ship upgrades would have to be researched for your ships a couple times if, and only if, you can have multiple fleets. Keep it fair.

    like, if you have one fleet over Reach, and one over Sigma Octanus four, if you purchase better mac guns over Reach, and better archer missles over Sigma, then each one would have that upgrade respectively, but not both. That would come later.

    How about Robot somehow buys out Stardock and they make a Sins of A Solar Empire game only in the Halo verse.  And they would feature land battles too.  So it would be a combination of Sins, which is better than EaW space wise, and combine the land fights of Halo Wars.

    i dont know enough about Sins, but i have heard that matches are HUUUUUGE. Like, a galactic conquest in EaW is a 1v1 skirmish in Sins, huge.

    You can have a max fleet capacity of 2000.  Frigates take up between 2-12 slots, capital ships are all 50, and cruisers are 4-20 slots.

    Oh yeah and you can have 10 players in one game too.  So, lots of ships.

    Just had a thought.

    say there are...10 planets total in a match...both teams control 5 planets. why not have planets with "specific" stations? (kind of like you've built your base but it's on a MUCH MUCH larger scale...where the planets act like the building slots.)

    say one team has 2 of there 5 planets as supply bases (supply stations, mining facility...you can go crazy on the specific names). and say the other team decides to try to take out your supply planet.

    I think a cool thing would be...if you originally transformed your planet. (say...Dresdan or something) into a supply planet for example you have a small bonus in the ground engagement in the form of having heavies SP's right away.

    if you placed your planet as a "Armory" type station. then your research times are cut by 25% on the ground engagement. A defense station? and you have 1 tech higher bases (....doesn't this remind you of anything?)

    let's say you colonize a planet as a research facility (like the the field armory of your galatic empire.) selecting this planet will bring up the researchable things you are able to do. (galatic wide upgrades affects all your ships) some upgrades will require you to have certain planets under control (for example, you must have Dresdan under your control if your UNSC to research AND produce NOVA bombs) once the slot that takes up the NOVA bomb research is researched it is replaced by a Galatic Power so to speak (say for like...30,000 resources you can produce one NOVA bomb.) once this is produced you may use the bomb to "crash" any enemy planet that is currently being fought for in the ground engagement battle (you must win control of space in order to drop the NOVA bomb on the planet)...or you could use the NOVA bomb to deal a heavy blow to a opposing covenant fleet for an easy space victory and quickly take the battle on the ground, where you have the slight advantage as UNSC 

    *sigh* alrighty then...any questions? lol

    Well in Sins each of the factions have their own super weapons.  The TEC get something like a MAC cannon that can devastate planets.  I love the capital ships.  They gain experience and level up, a level 10 Kol Battleship is soooo good.

    Sins also has a few tech trees, one for combat, one for civilian upgrades, one for fleet and capital ship capacity.

    Carriers arent good combat wise.  They are the weakest combat wise among the capital ships.  They can carry lots of fighter squads though, and fighter squads have 4-15 ships in a squad.  Advent carriers can have 12 squads I think, with 15 ships in a squad.
