Re: For people who have read all three books

    Disregaurding our noob friend's post.

Bshwerwin, I do find this theory as intriguing. I have always favored the Human=Forerunner theory, and I do like this theory. Perhaps there are a few Forerunner left who seed the world with new humans and Covenant after the rings activate, just for their own sheer entertainment. They might even bet on who will activate the ring or destroy the other first, and then if one wins without the use of the rings, then they just activate it from the Ark (which is where they all hang out and watch the game). However, in Halo 2 there was a call too close to be called, and the Moniter (our friendly little slightly crazed referee) had to call on the Ark for info. The Forerunner found this intriguing, having never been discovered by the others before. They decide to let the game continue until they absolutely have to activate the Rings to perserve their safety (as the Covenant may have caught wind of the Forerunners game and wish to end it and move on and the humans love shooting moving things that are not human). This might be what is happening in the Halo 3 trailer, the Covenant are almost upon the Forerunner when the Ark is activated. John is not far behind them. Perhaps Halo is about the end of the game, perhaps our favorite living Spartan (John that is, for those of you who like Linda, Kelly, or Fred better) will destroy the generators in the Ark as it warms up (maybe that beam we see is the start of a long message code that takes time to send). The Gravemind is the one who would really know of the Forerunners game, and I think he is encouraging the humans and Covenant to stop fighting so they can end the game forever, which means Gravemind wins overall (like in the final missions of Starcraft: Brood Wars, Kerigan allies with her enemies and overall betrays them all in order to take control of the galaxy; and then a new enemy steps in [cough[Xel'Naga[/cough])

However, this is all just wild speculation that I thought sounded cool

    Humans vs. The Covenant

I was wondering why the UNSC can make shields for the spartans but not ANY type of shield for the ships in their fleet. That really doesn't make any sense.

Also I wanted people to learn to spell. Its really not that hard.

The reason the UNSC have not made shields for their fleet ships is because it would require HUGE amounts of energy and not even nuclear reactors have the outage for that kind of demand unlike the Covenant who have reversed engineered previous Forerunner ships Plasma Generator technology into their own fleet. In the books ONI was trying to research into make a more powerful way of getting energy from nuclear power (the power pack on each spartan armour design is of one such prototype) but have had little success other than small packs.

    Cesar Chief:

A friend say to me that there four books about the history of Halo Wars, but, i don't know where sell them, anybody know if this is true???

And, if it is, where can i download or buy the books??

The history of Halo Wars? It's not even released yet.

Just so this matter is cleared up the idea of books on 'Halo Wars' has not even been considered where you are getting your information from is either untrustworthy or mislead. The only books in existence are the three based on before during and after Halo: Combat Evolved. Halo Wars itself is set BEFORE even the first book. In 'The Fall of Reach' we learn that an well known admiral who lead a great victory vs the scum of the verse was killed in what was a huge fleet battle vs a Covenant strike group. A STRIKE GROUP took down one of the LARGEST fleets in the UNSC like a hot knife through butter! Now ever scince people have read the books (and im assuming you all have) they have often wondered what happened in that battle? What tactics did they use? What weapons were in their possesion? These are all questions answered in Halo Wars because u get to fight the very first battle in books as the INTRO. After that the game will take you through the history of the Spartans and the program that ONI developed as well as The Fall of Reach.

Once again if you haven't read all three books more then once then this is not for you.
Ok i have a few questions about the books that has really made me wonder?
    1) What happend the the 3 spartans that make it back to earth with MC.
    2) Where do you believe Dr.Hasley took the one spartan Female.
3)What is the Significance of earth and other plants to the Covenant.
There are other questions but please just hepl me figure this out.
I'm sorry if these questions have been asked before. So please don't be forum Nazi's about it if they've already been asked.

1.) I honestly dont know, have'nt givin much thought.

    2. To the One place that can control all the rings.

    3. i think that the covenant ( the Prophets) have some time of history with Earth, because of the Forunners.

For the record noone knew where the Ark (the mekanism that ciontrolls all the rings) was till halo2 which is AFTER the halo books so Dr. Halsey couldnt have taken her there i believe she may have taken her somewhere safe for futher study maybe she believes there is some way she can improve the next gen of Spartans in the Spartan 3 program because shes a part of it. Hope that answeres your question.

Im guessing that RTSG stands for Real Time Strategy Game and if it does im sorry to dissapoint you but your statement is 100% flase.RTS has everything to do with Halo, because Halo:Combat Evolved was ORIGINALLY going to be an RTSG but bunjie decided against it as people would not grasp the enormity of the struggle of Humans VS Covenant like they would up close and personal like an FPS. The only reason theyre making an RTSG of Halo now is because people do understand the scope of whats going in the story and just how hopeless the battle is for the Humans, they also want to attract a much wider range of fans, players and customers. Hope i didnt ruin your relationship with whomever your getting your information from.

What? Halo is a story, you have to understand that a story can be applied to any genre. Look at Star Wars.

Re: For people who have read all three books

1.if you read the halo graphic novel you will find out to one of the female spartans that i am not so sure if this charactor is in the books or not but there is one of them.

2.Dr. Halsey and kelly went on a secret mission and no one really knows

3.earth was sort of a pit stop on the way to other planets that had not been visited for a very long time, i believe that due to the covenant skanning the earth for matierials they found the ark after hundreds of years of erosion.

Re: For people who have read all three books

UberSpartan, you ought have read the posts after those that you quoted. That was cleared up almost immediately. However, Halo Wars is not set before the first book. Though there were Spartan 1.0s before the first book, they did not wear armor, even in the Spartan-IIs didn't have armor for a while, and thus, it must be the Spartan-IIs in the trailer. Also, the Covenant War didn't start until the first book, so if Halo Wars was before that, then what are the Covenant doing in it? The answer, it is during the first book.

owner, what are you trying to say? Your spelling is illegible. I picked out RTS (G...whatever, RTS is how it is commonly refered to), and I picked out something about not haveing anything to do with Halo. What the heck do you mean by that? Do you mean the trailer has nothing to do with Halo? Do you mean the game can't have anything to do with Halo? Anyway, I agree with Jak, Halo is a story and can be properly applied to any genre (though I hope they stay away from the MMO genre).

UberSpartan, I don't know if Halo CE was originally going to be an RTS, but I do believe it was originally presented as a TPS (third person shooter). Perhaps it was an RTS before that...

Re: Only for people who have read all three books

the humans are referred to as reclaimers are only miranda keyes and Spartan-117 because of the fact that they had taken the index out of the library

Re: Only for people who have read all three books

Also, the Marine found dead in the halls of the Library was called a Reclaimer, and somewhere it mentioned that th Covenant found they could not fire Halo with the index without a "Reclaimer", so they grabbed a random human.
