    Re: The 405th ODST Company

Sorry if this chapter is too short, i have lost the will to write.

    CHAPTER SIX

Sebastian woke up in a military hospital. doctors were tending to infected soldiers. He saw his team crowd around him.

"How ya doin' major?" Chang asked.

"Never been worse." Sebastian grinned at him. Chang grinned back.

"We had to leave the rest up to the Chief, Warner's company, and the rest of your battalion sir." Turner explianed to him glumly. Sebastian got up and outside the building he saw ODSTs loading into a pelican. The crane nearby lifted a Scorpion MBT onto the back. The squad must've seen him because they saluted in his direction. He saluted back. The pelican pushed off the rocky ground and dissapeared into the black sky.

"Turner what time is it?" He asked.

"0104 hrs. sir." Turner told him.

"Get some rest people." He told them making a confused face at his team.

"Thank you sir, you are my Jesus!" O'Brien chimed in. The team left. Sebastian laid down on the posturpedic matress. He closed his eyes and fell asleep quickly.

He opened his eyes. He was on his side, and mortar rounds surrounded him and his men. McCoy transformed into a monster and ripped McManus in two. Chang shot down McCoy, but blew into pieces when a mortar hit him.

"O'Brien, take out those mortar crews!" Turner yelled. A flood combat form pulled out an assault rifle and slaughtered Turner with it. Sebastian meleed the beast killing it instantly.

"Sir, they've killed Grace! There coming towards m- Can't hold 'em off, please help! GAAHHH!" O'Brien shouted over the comm.

"O'Brien, I'm on my way!" Sebastian ran, but there was still no answer on the comm. He stopped.

"They're all dead." He said to himself. He pulled out a pistol and shot himself in the head.

"NO!" Sebastian screamed. He looked around. There were doctors all around him. They held all kinds of medical tools.

"Posttramatic Stress disorder." One of the senior doctors said.

    "What?" Sebastian wondered out loud.

"You had a bad dream 'cause you've been in war for ten years. And of course because you cannot let go of what you care about most... your friends and family." The doctor explained.

"Get this crap offa me." Sebastain said. The doctors gathered all the tools, and left. Sebastian fell back asleep with no more nightmares. For now.

    CHAPTER SEVEN...

Lieutenant Joseph Wilson walked into the HEV. The door sealed and he made himself comfortable. He placed his BR55 on the weapon grip.

"Alright Lieutenant launching in five," The crewman said on the COM. "Green light!" He yelled. Wilson felt a slight jerk as the pod dropped into zero-gee atmosphere. Wilson always thought that dropping in outer space was one of the best careers a person like him could have. He was also glad he was under the command of Major Jack Sebastian. Sebastian was one of the most hard-core ODSTs in the UNSC. He thought about his life for up to ten minutes. Then his HEV touched down on the Earth. He kicked open the door grabbing his weapon. He saw that his platoon was under heavy fire. Sergeant Butcher held his sniper rifle, and took cover behind a giant lump of rocks. Corporal Mark provided covering fire for him. Wraiths came out of a wooden gate attached to the brute's defensive wall. Suddenly Staff Sergeant Benson grabbed him by the wrists and dragged him to cover.

"Sir, we need to take out that defensive wall plus the wraiths! Got a plan sir?" Benson yelled over the gunfire. Wilson had a plan indeed, but he was too shocked to speak. "SIR?" Benson shouted again.

"Gather wounded and supplies, tell everyone to get over here... I'll explain the plan later." Wilson struggled.

"Right!" Benson quickly ordered the rest of the platoon to do as Wilson had said. Wilson recovered from his state of shock, grabbed a lone rocket and turned his boby towards a wraith that was being protected by three ghosts. He locked on to the wraith. The rocket spiraled like a football and hit the wraith, also destroying two of the ghosts, one was damaged badly, the brute was still intact though. The brute got up. Lieutenant Wilson ran towards the great powerful creature. He punched it in it's abdomen, but it did no damage to the beast. It grabbed him by the neck and it spoke to him.

"You human infidel! You know nothing of the great journey, there is no wondering why the gods left you behing weakling!" The bute yelled at him.

"God? with an s?" Wilson asked the brute. "The only god there is, is my god!" He pulled out his combat knife and stabbed it in the throat. The brute dropped him and grabbed his own throat, it squirmed around and tried to gasp for air. Yet he was unable to breathe. He stopped squirming. It was motionless. Wilson knelt down and pulled out the knife and blood squirted out onto his body armour. He picked up his weapons and walked over to Benson.

"Sir? Why didn't you teach me that?" Benson marveled.

"Is the camp ready yet sergeant?" Wilson asked him. Benson nodded. "Good. Follow me, I got a plan."

    Chapter eight...

    New Mombassa, 2553

    1509 hrs. Sunday

"Fall in marine!" Said Captain Warner to a marine struggling out of a building. A squadron of hornets flew overhead, they launched missiles towards an AA wraith. It transformed into a giant inferno. The 44th Marine division was being held up by a nuber of wraiths, choppers, and several groups of Banshee strifers. Major General Nelson was one of the first to die, so Captain Warner decided to lead her company away from Voi, and back down to New Mombassa. Her company, the 504th Infantry, had already lost 28 of their marines!

"Get those hogs up here!" She shouted. Four LAAGs drove forward, advancing on the handicap wraiths, destroying what was left with armour piercing rounds. Warner jumped in an upcoming troophog. The marines on foot found any salvegable vehicle, human or covenant. She saw several marines drive forward with a convoy of damaged choppers, and mongooses. She pulled out her spartan laser, and watched closley for any covenant heavy armour.

"This is Hornet VTOL squadron Charlie Foxtrot 111, we are inbound, and we will escort you to the Dawn's LZ, over!" A marine said over the COM.

"Roger, one eleven, we got your back, Warner out!" Sheila replied to the squad leader. She felt much safer now with some air support.

"Hold on, stop the hogs, we got a visual on a lot of covenant activity on these mountains... HOLY SH-" It was only a matter of time before the African Space Elevator fell back to where it started. Marines scattered everywhere, and fryed up hornet VTOLs along with phantoms, fell with the elevator. The marines were overwhelmed by the weight of the object on top of them, they couldn't bear it, no one under it suvived.

Suddenly, a bright orange light flickered into veiw... the space elevator was exploding! And so it did...

Warner and a large group of marines, ran to a patch of caves, waiting... and waiting... and waiting.

    Re: The 405th ODST Company

I have read through, as you requested.

It's okay. Average, but I have to agree with Cazador that it has potential. He's better at picking up mistakes but I saw a few as I went through it, both spelling, grammar and a bit of canon.

I did not like Chapter 3. I thought it tore away from the action of the first two chapters into a completely new scenario, without any explaination of the time or circumstances. I also don't think R'tas would be so angry and against the treaty, sure he was angry in Halo 3, but that's because Hood underestimated the flood, and their attempts to help them. I'd be angry to.

Other than that it's still a little to short, I can't settle in one situation as we're rushed off to the next one. The nightmare brought on by stress was a good idea, but implemented too quickly. I would have prefered a slower build up, then reach the crecendo then return to the real world.

A vailiant effort so far, it reminds me of my first few chapters. Keep working at it, and I'm sure it will be a good fic.
