I have discussed HW related subjects, as i chose to join. But with many various Users w/ a wide range of interests, of course other non-HW related subjects are discussed.
There's been Ogame, StarCraft, versus threads of all sorts, StarWars, Metal Gear Solid. Now if you're hating on the artwork linked, you're pretty much hating on Japanese culture and anime. In which case, you must think Japan is sissy prissy. Since you hate Japan, why don't we take away your Sony--playstations, GTA, TVs--, your Nintendo's, whoops, there goes Mario (he's the gameface of Nintendo, but of course you know that). Bye bye Sega, so long sonic. Bye Solid Snake and Metal Gear solid. All you're left with is the XBOX, which didn't decide to enter, or probably would have never entered, the arena to compete w/ Nintendo and Sony.
Since you obviously hate Japan, you're gonna have some allies. You're along with another User, who was banned. I, though, I'm pretty sure NT would agree w/ me that the anime stuff isn't all that bad. I'm pretty sure most of the forums disagree with you.
But most of all, since you hate this 'sissy prissy' anime stuff, why don't we take away the MasterChief as we know him as well. Oh wait, what did you say? The MC is Microsoft and Bungie, which are American? Oh silly me!!! I didn't know!! But of course, that is as deep public knowledge of him goes. The original sketch up of the MasterChief was truly inspired by Japanese drawings of a hero and cyborgs/machinery, not to mention the concept was drawn by an Asian artist. Compare the sketch to prominent Japanese robots (i.e. the robot in FLCL), and tell me there isn't much of difference. "Oh, but Halo came before FLCL" Yeah, but FLCL embraces a long history of Japanese culture of anime artistry, whereas the original sketch of the MC was taken from that culture. The MC we know now came into existance by modify that original sketch. Not to mention how much anime has affected OUR culture as well.
And since Halo wouldn't be a brand w/o the MC, there would be no massive want for it. Therefore, there would be no HALOWARS, hence NO HALOWARS WEBSITE. With that logic, i think it's okay to have some tangent talk, whilst we wait for more and more info to come out on the game.
And this is besides the fact that SSB has the best replayability ever with tons of fans and support (obviously even from Sony, to include Snake in there), and that it's on a very popular system.
I hope this will enlighten your ignorance. Insulting the fun videos and their culture; insulting supersmash bros.; and insulting me won't really get you anywhere on these forums. Try to be more open and considerate when you post, instead of scrutinizing others for what their interests are.
