    Campaign: #15

I've played the level on normal 5 times now and I just can't figure out the path to follow to make the time. I've come within10 seconds of the time limit 6 times now and I just can't figure it out. I have trouble making my army split up. Always, by the time the 3rd scarab shoue up, I would like to know how to beat the level.

Depending on what you're doing, your best bet is to go with Hawks. You can get ODST's but they don't move around quickly enough IMO. If you're going for the skull or achievement, do those on two separate play-throughs so you can specifically focus on them.

As for the Hawks strat, upgrade your base, make about 4 sp's, and let your Spartans take care of any enemies that may advance on your base. After you've killed off the initial flood attack, send a ODST squad to the forerunner sp to the left of your base and another to the second forerunner sp near the second control terminal located at the south-east portion of the map.  When you've made your 4 sp's, upgrade your base, and get some reactors up, followed by a field armory for reserves and reinforcements (since you're on normal you don't really need to worry about the turret upgrades). Also, don't forget to upgrade your existing sp's to hsp's.

When all that's done, build a airpad, make 3 hornets and put your spartans in them. These 3 will easily be able to defend your base on normal. After that, start upgrading your hornets, but you will need to have upgraded both reactors beforehand. When you've actually 'purchased' the hawks upgrade, you can either sell your second reactor for a supply pad or another airpad to double pump hawks; considering hawks are only tier 2 to make and you only need 1 upgraded reactor.

Finally, once you've hit the max pop count you can quite easily take out any scarabs or bases left so that you can activate the control terminals.

Using this method, I can finish anywhere between 15 to 5 mins before the time limit ends, depending on how quickly I act. Considering I always use this method, and I've pulled it off each time, you shouldn't have any trouble with it.

Yo Aura, would this strategy also be effective on Legendary? I just beat this mission on the Heroic difficulty, and what I did was I massed scorpions and got 2 vultures. Also, I finished off the Covenant first, since they were really the only ones on offense. The flood just stayed in the same place, so the Covenant posed a bigger threat. I beat the mission with like 3 minutes left on the clock, but my point is is that will your hawk strategy work on Legendary? I really like how your strategy is played out lol.

Read my FF! Human-Covenant War: Without The Great Schism. It's an FF based upon how the war would have ended up if there was no Great Schism. There are a lot of twists and there is a lot of action!

    Re: Campaign: #15

the plan I used for legendary was to take my spartans and make them go counter clockwise around the rings and leaving my odst's to defend and building hornets/hawks to defend while upgrading to odst to take all the hooks and keep the terminals occupied. nothing I did really caused the scarabs to do anything until I reached the base that was clockwise from the start base and by that time my units had no problem taking them out especially while freezing and quad mac blast. all you really need to worry about is locusts coming up and attacking your first base and locusts can be taken out with marines/odst y ability pretty easily. if you put your spartans in hornets/hawks or tanks and make sure to heal them up they end up just being able to mow through the bases with relative easy. and you just build up bases as you go.

if for some reason you find a scarab attacking you without you agrivating it then I would just use leader powers and send my spartans in their unit to attack it.

    Re: Campaign: #15

i beat it on legendary yesterday, it took me a couple tries but this is what i did. right away i made 6 sp's, 4 turrets and on reacter. then put one odst or marines in the supply gathering thing to the left of your base. take anouther odst and go further left to a sniper tower and put them in there. right away upgrade all your supply pads, then your reactor. when you have about 3000 destroy a sp and make a airpad then destroy anouther sp and make a anouther reactor. make 5 hornets upgrade untill there hawks and then make as many more as you can.when you have about 17 go and start opening them all, first the set in front of you, then go to the right and open that set, when your done with that one go right one more time and open that one, 17 hawks against a scarab itll be dead in less than 10 secwith the mac blast, ued probibly win by then so good luck

You can send ODST anywhere onto the center of the map, just drop em by the thing you want to oper, kill everything near it, and activate it.
