    Aloysius:A few notes:

Title Updates and Patches have a long lead time due to certification processes and bug fixing. You guys, the community, progressed faster along the way the designers anticipated for MP. So yes, we're totally 100% aware of the Hog Rush and what fixes might go in for it, but it couldn't make it in for this TU.

If you noticed, Hog Rushes really started kicking in once we announced Covenant Leader nerfs, so players were working against our changes before we even put them in!

The first DLC pack coming up soon is pretty cool, and I think that a lot of people will really dig the new game types.

Woooooooooot! We (the players) are so good we passed the designers expectations of us in MP already! lol

Note: Recycling a building only returns 50% of the base cost, pro-rated for damage done to the building.

Trivia: During developement I initially set this value at 75% return on investment with no pro-rating based on damage but this turned out to be way too exploitable for the balance team and changes were made.

I know your the developer and stuff, but... that simply isn't what I observe happening.  I recycle a turret, and I instantly get 250 back.  I recycle a reactor when I have 2, and I get 500 back.  If I got less, I would notice.

Yup, I just looked this up in the data file, the correct value of 50% was disabled for a demo and never got turned back on afterwards.  Making this is a bug not a feature and will be fixed in a future title update.

My apologies, and thank you for pointing this out.

Will buildings recycle for half price or full price after this update?  I know a mod said he would fix to half, but its not in patch notes.

I am happy that the game is getting patched. It's the second RTS ever on the Xbox 360 to get a title update that fixes balance issues (first one was Universe at War).

    Good stuff.

Re: Halo Wars Title Update #2 Patch Notes Discussion

I am kinda happy with the TU to be honest. I cant remember the last game i was rushed with hogs anyway.

The only thing i am disappointed with is the 2.4 MILLION points needed to get 50GS and the top rank.

The ONLY acceptable thing is that it has been dropped by a cool million.

What i would really like to see is DOUBLE XP weekends like Halo3....

Thanks for the update, some people are very narrow minded. You pay £40 for a game that has cost MILLIONS of pounds/dollars to be made. I swear some gamers think that microsoft, bungie, etc, robot etc owes them something. £40 for a game is a bargain. Considering the enojoyment you get out of it. So what if DLC costs Ms points, you dont have to but it.

I paid £1000 for a 486mhz pc with 32 mb of Ram!!! Times have changed.

Re: Halo Wars Title Update #2 Patch Notes Discussion

Just a random question out of the blue but...

Regarding the higher cost for Cryo, was the base value for that tweaked?  Because I get a funny feeling that it might have an impact on Campaign mission 10: Shield World where you get a Cryo Bomb and upgrades in the Field Armory, but without Ander's economy bonus.

It would be interesting if you ended up having to pay 1050 supplies for the first Cryo upgrade, and 2,100 supplies for the final upgrade.

Campaign is only 5% of the game, and nobody really cares, but this would be kinda funny.

That's it? No buff to Cutter or Forge?

I was expecting alot more out of this patch.

Good question.... usually, multiplayer changes are not implemented for single player due to that reason specifically. So I would guess that campaign is untouched.

I believe he said that it was something they were looking at for a possible change in the future, it was never supposed to be in this TU.

Re: Halo Wars Title Update #2 Patch Notes Discussion

This is a serious question asked in a calm manner to ALOYSIUS.

I wanted to ask how Ander's eco-bonus is on par with Cutter's and Forge's? How do their bonuses even come close to hers? She doesn't just get one bonus, she gets multiple bonuses for every unit. Not only that, but the cost reduction works as a time reduction as well (since she doesn't have to save as much). I don't get it. I might understand if the eco bonus applied to either main units or counters, but not both.

Only explanation that I can think of is Anders is meant to be 1v1 and Cutter and Forge are meant for teams. Can you confirm or deny this?

    Anders= 1v1 /~/ Forge= 2v2 /~/ Cutter= 3v3

    Does that sound wrong?

I honestly look forward to the patch's features and would like to express my thanks in your team's efforts in balancing this game. I would simply like an answer to this question.
