I think that Bungie did pretty well with the Secret Ending.

Besides, If I wanted to see the MC die, I'd play Halo 3 on Legendary with all 13 Skulls Activated. I'd be plastered all over the place.

meh, i still say that he should just go down in a big fight with the covenant, but they better show up in onyx at least a bit in halo 3 cuz then he can meet up with blue team and THEN make his heroic death or possibly life if they activate the sheild inside onyxs' core and get warped to a dif. dimention...but if that doesnt work then i think that he should meet up w/blue team and then they go on the fight to "finish the fight" against a covenant armada on none other than the 3rd halo ring with a bunch of scorps and hogs and longswords, and pelis ODSTs and the lesser than all others (even grunts) the marines.  John and blue team w/or w/o Kurt, should all go ahead of the UNSC squadron and decimate the covenant forces slowly losing their team members, starting with Kurt, and ending with Kelly and John as the final ones to finish it off and John should finally admit to Kelly that he loves her as it fades to black with human and plasma fire in the backgrounds with screams of pain on all sides...but this is just a spur of the moment thing...mostly cuz im talking to my gf so i cant think straight...but shes amazing so ill think of some new ideas maybe some script..but doubt that ttyl if you need me msg me :P

obviously that doesnt happen in halo 3 but that would be cool. i just wanna say that chief pretty much cant love a girl like that. because of the augmentations to his petuitary gland he has no sex drive and i dont think any of that stuff occured during his force puberty. so he grew very large but the other physical stuff didnt occur.

um i think he should be like on one of the last covenent ships near the last covenent planet kicking butt like normal....... then he blows up all the ships and goes to the planet and an army of drones just plow him to the ground then he manages to fling them off him and throw a plasma and kill them all...... STUCK........ then look at some grunts and they all run away and then elites charge at him with swords and he blows one to pieces with a rocket launcher.... THEN..... he steals its sword and rapes all the elites left alive in all the universe then an army of brutes with hammers and brute shot come at him and he throws alot of plasmas kills a few with his sword drops his rocket launcher after destroying a few with it steals a hammer and rapes the rest...... THEN..... he looks around and doesn't see anything and takes his helmet off to wipe the sweat off his face and say "MAN.... THAT WAS CLOSE...." then a prophet comes up behind him and he turns and kills the prophet but then a grunt comes up behind him and throws a plasma on mc's face but right before the plasma explodes he clicks a button in his hand and the entire human fleet shows up and destroys the planet with a combo of MAC's and nukes........... STUCK....... but then they decide to spread the word to everyone that MC isnt dead he just got lost in a blackhole somewhere so they could put MIA on him...... Then Lord Hood walks up to a screen that lists all the spartans ever to live

"SPARTAN-116 ------------------ MIA" 

 

did 116 and 118 get selected? cuz only 75 of the 150 canidates went to training and out of those only like 34 made it to spartan II hood

"SPARTAN-117 ------------------ MIA"

"SPARTAN-118 ------------------ MIA"

then Lord Hood sits there for a few seconds looking at the spartan 117 mia part and says "Hell, It's About Time."                                                                                                                                                               

PHEW that's the best ending.....

or there could be a new spartan project with like omega super spartans that literally don't die and mc has to fight him in an arena type thing and the omega spartan runs up and try's to kill mc with a energy sword but mc had a splaser charged and when it went off it hit the omega spartan and killed them both

They do die, but the UNSC have placed a protocol around deaths so every dead SPARTAN is listed as MIA or WIA. It was accepted that knowing SPARTANS can die would have a crippling loss of moral.
